I find it more to be of a uni-sex scent, more bright yet mature in nature. It's very appealing. The dry down is quite strong, but it fades over time. I notice that halfway through the day the scent is no longer wafting up as strongly. I never reapply though: trust me, ONE spray of this stuff is PLENTY!
