The desk is good. Put together fairly easilly? I have DIY furniture experience so i guess it was self explanatory for the most part, i also have other "industrial rustic" furniture and theyre all alot alike but i did find some of the instructions to be visually unclear. I did have all my parts and pieces. It did come together with the pc tower on the right, im not sure if it could be flipped, i didnt have the capacity nor desire to try differently at the time of set up. However, i did not like how the packaging started to break apart before i even opened the box. The inside stryofoam holding the parts and pieces stable were loose/ broken The box rattled quite a bit before i opened it. I was worried there would be scratches but thankfully there was only very light damage or none at all on pieces i knew made contact. My keyboard drawer brackets were bent and that portion of the desk was the most tedious portion. I did bend them back gently but i did not like this. The screws you need to use for the desk drawer wanted to strip so badly and the wood the drawer is made of was very tough to screw into, i think it even had pre dilled holes for the keyboard drawer but it just didnt want to cooperate with the tiny screws. The one aspect of the desk that needs to be a more secure install was the ridiculous part unfortunately. But it did come together!!! I received this in decent time despite paying for prime i was promised this item all day by 2 days afternordering? But it was delivered midday the next day. Tired of paying for prime but not getting the things i pay for from the service like i use to but overall the desk is set up and will most likely work how i need it to. Its also cute, wish i could have found one with a taller hutch in a model i preferred. The micro hutch for your pc monitor/s will be useful when i buy an arm mount for my monitor so im looking forward to using this piece of furniture. It is exactly as pictured, will see if it holds up like my other "industrial rustic" furniture ... show more

Been using this desk for almost half a year now, and its really nice for the price. Felt cheap and flimsy when I opened the box but surprisingly sturdy when its put together. Looks great too.

The desk is nice, but the assembly was a hassle. Most of it went well, but the instructions should be clearer, especially when it comes to the slider parts for the keyboard tray. For anyone else who may be confused or frustrated, you have to pull the slider bit out a little bit to get the one screw hole, and pull it further to get the other screw hole. ... show more

TL;DR Overall I like this desk. It serves the purpose that I had hoped, and it is sturdy enough given its type of construction and it is not difficult to assemble if you're patient and you follow the instructions carefully. ASSEMBY - I think it took me about 1-1/2 hours to assemble the desk. The instructions are picture based with no written instruction other than a strong recommendation to NOT tighten screws until you align everything. I would modify that a bit and say that this applies for a given section of the assembly (such as fastening the main top, or fastening a shelf, or fastening the monitor tier. You don't have to apply this recommendation globally to the entire assembly. What this recommendation does is make it easier to align the screws and allows you to ensure that things are square. The picture based instructions tell you everything you need to know but you need to be patient and observe carefully. All of the parts are numbered or lettered. The packages of parts ARE NOT labeled with these designations like some kits are, but the the picture and measurement given in the instructions are sufficient to figure out what's what. There are two screws that look identical except one is 30mm and the other 35mm in length. Just note which one is larger in the package and that's the 35mm, of course. When tightening screws, you definitely want to make them very snug to avoid coming loose, but be careful not to overtighten as you will start to compress the metal tubular parts you are fastening. One thing not noted in the ad: the one mid-shelf on the left side has two possible places to mount. It can be roughly in the middle vertically, or quite high up (as it is in the photo I have attached). The mounting holes in the frame are front-to-back on each of the four frame "pillars". The right side does not accommodate a shelf (no mounting holes). After assembly of everything, including the cross braces in back, the sturdiness of this desk is no less than I would have expected given its design. Unless you're putting lots of heavy equipment on it, or trying to push it around without lifting it, it shouldn't be a problem. FUNCTION - I examined a lot of desks on Amazon looking for particular dimensions for work surface with a riser for the monitor, and a nice way to hold two computers. I finally settled on this one. I am happy with that choice. The keyboard drawer is just shy of 24" wide and is only big enough for my keyboard but not my mouse. I have an old aircraft carrier sized keyboard so this may not be an issue for everyone. But I'd recommend measuring your keyboard width to see how much mouse space you'll have. Right now I have to have my mouse on the main desk surface. One problem I'll note in the keypad drawer: although there's a detent for when it's pushed in all the way, there is no detent when the drawer is extended out. So if you apply any forward force while using your keyboard, it wants to push the drawer in the closed direction. I find this a bit annoying and is really the only problem I encountered with this desk. For this reason, I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. I think it would have been great if they included a shelf for the right-hand side with a couple of mounting options, just like the left. It would not have been that big of a deal or much incremental cost and would have offered more flexibility and/or functionality. I think I'd like my shelf lower than where it is currently, but not as low as the other mounting location (it would be too low for the PC). So I'll need to drill my own mounting holes (carefully - measure twice, drill once :D). Overall I'm fairly pleased with the desk. I only have to figure out whether I can deal with the keyboard drawer or just not use it. I've got a couple of ideas for creating my own detent or latch mechanism for it. The desk looks as great in my office area as it does in the picture on the website - better, maybe. I have two monitors, and the top tier is wide enough and at the proper elevation above the main desk so that I look at them comfortably, straight on, keeping my neck straight, not bent down. It fits well in the nook next to my fireplace. The shelf on the right is perfect for my CPU. The desk is heavy enough to be sturdy, yet light weight enough that I could take it with me if I moved again. It was not the most expensive desk, but it does seem to offer more value than some of the more expensive desks. I recommend it if you need two monitors. If someone is a day trader, the unit seems sturdy and stable enough, and the top tier deep enough, for a monitor stand, in case you were thinking of 3 or more screens. ... show more

Looks nice but made of poor quality material - not sturdy - instructions are not clear. I’m a 70+ senior lady who knows how to put things together and found this lacking . I should have purchased from a reputable furniture or office supply store.

I got this and put it together yesterday and its honestly pretty sturdy. It doesn't rock even without the cross supports. The only thing I will say is the part where your pc tower goes is slightly smaller than it says it is but otherwise it's great.
