  • Ran into a wrinkle or two but Verizon customer support came through with flying colors ...
Model: Discontinued 4G LTE SIM
Technically, this kit works perfectly. I put the SIM in my unlocked Motorola and it connected immediately. The online process also seemed to go smoothly but I did all of this on a Saturday. And therein likes a "gotcha". When the phone didn't port over after a full 24 hours, I figured something had gone wrong. The Verizon porting website does a good job of walking you though the process and showing the status but it just kept saying, "Congratulations, your porting has been approved by your current carrier" (or something to that effect). Waited until Monday morning to call Verizon. First, it was a breeze to get in touch with the Verizon "porting center" (or whatever it's called). After less than a minute on hold, I got a lady who knew exactly what she was doing. She checked my account and let me know that my previous carrier (Page Plus) wasn't going to release my number until 3 business days had passed. She let me know that on Wednesday at noon my number would be active. She also told me to wait about 30 minutes after noon before trying to get the connection up and running and offered a few tips to avoid problems (like turning off your Wifi and Bluetooth until you finish the initial connection process). On Wednesday afternoon, everything came down exactly like the Verizon rep had promised and the phone and service worked perfectly. Even though Page Plus uses the Verizon network, I swear I got better signal and service coverage after switching to the Verizon SIM. However, when I went to set up my online account on the Verizon website I ran into another problem. The online account allows me to configure my services, set/change my PIN, etc., etc. But when I went to set it up, it asked me for the PIN I had received in a text during the initial connection. i hadn't received a text with a PIN. I had received other texts welcoming me to Verizon and confirming the connection process was complete, but nothing with a PIN. So, back to calling Verizon. While it was easy to get the phone number for the Porting Center reps, the rest of the Verizon website stinks in its current pandemic configuration. It is almost impossible to find an actual telephone number and then reach a real human being. That is my single biggest complaint with this whole process. No matter what you do, the system tries to steer you into some "automated" solution that doesn't solve your problem. I finally tried telling the system I had a payment problem. That seemed to get its attention and, after repeatedly navigating voice response menus, I finally managed to get connected to a real person. After explaining that I really didn't have a payment problem but needed to talk to technical support, that rep did a great job and got me through to a Verizon technical support rep who knew exactly how to solve the problem. Long story short, it took almost two hours of fighting the Verizon website and voice menu obstacle course but within 15 minutes the tech support rep verified that I was who I said I was, got me a new PIN, fixed my locked account (too many incorrect PIN tries) and stayed on the line until I had logged in and verified that everything was working perfectly. Since then, I could not be happier with the Verizon service. After 9 months, I'll actually be paying less per month than I was with my old discount carrier and the quality of the signal, features (voice mail, spam filtering, etc.) and coverage, not to mention the data allowance, is definitely better. ... show more

  • Card is good but port of number got messed up
Model: Discontinued 4G LTE SIM
I was on metro and it slowed to a snails pace so I ordered this card to switch to prepaid Verizon. I have an unlocked iPhone XR The card arrived fast and I had no issues installing it but the activation was a mess with Verizon and took days to complete ( I was keeping old number ) it took many many calls to finally get someone on phone to correct the porting issue. I would say if you can go into a Verizon store to get the card and have them help you, They took so long that I had to reactivate with metro to keep my number thru the process . And yes I used the Verizon website to attempt the change. Bottom line card is fine .... but the process got messed up trying to accomplish it online. ... show more

  • Do Not Buy This
Model: Discontinued 4G LTE SIM
On a cold December night 2013 the lights went out on My Truck that Is when I found out that they removed all the payphones and also because I had Windstream land lines that did Not work most of the time I was forced to buy a Cellphone and had to go to 2 cellphone repair shops to get It activated then when I got home found out I have a weak signal and the expensive nightmare continues trying to fix the weak signal problem and get good service. Most of the 3rd party cellphone us AT&T towers that has a weak signal here then I was told should switch to US Cellular which still has a weak signal so now I Am trying to get switched to Verizon which I think has a stronger signal here. I live miles from a Verizon store and have to drive a Truck that gets 8 miles to a gallon and leaks Oil so I order most everything on line but now I know save Yourself time and money just go to a Verizon store It better to cuss someone out In person than over the phone. This package says 3 In 1 SIM card I need the Micro SIM card for My Samsung Galaxy S with MHL how stupid Is It to make 3 different sizes of SIM cards? It comes In a Interesting package with a Interesting function that small Children would enjoy but this Is a Nano SIM card there Is No adaptor unless You take some scissors and cut out one and the circuit looked different from the SIM card I got from Straight Talk so I was afraid to try It. ... show more

  • Verizon Prepaid Sim card (Standard, Micro, Nano)
Model: Discontinued 4G LTE SIM
Installed as a Nano version in a Oneplus 8T. Initially tried configuring the Sim card by going online and following the setup steps for a new Verizon prepaid account for customers bringing there on phone. Could not get the Sim card code to be accepted because the online step would not allow all digits of the Sim card to be entered. The Sim card comes with an instruction pamphlet that provides a Verizon phone # that can be called to activate the Sim card. Using the automated procedure via the phone # in the instructions worked very nicely. ... show more

  • Not really micro enough
Model: Discontinued 4G LTE SIM
Description says micro but if that's the case then my Samsung galaxy S7 must be a micro-micro because it needed to be half the size it was. I was disappointed.
