I suspect if my newly ordered grey duvet cover is a fake Vera Wang product or Vera Wang doesn't do their quality control on their products. My daughter purchased a white Vera Wang duvet cover with the same pattern a few months ago from a well known store online. We like its well made quality, pattern , and softness. I saw the same product was on sale at Amazon and purchased a grey one. That's a big disappointment. It's poorly made and the texture is very rough. I thought it might become softer after a wash. However, after a wash(delicate cycle) and a low temperature dry, it shrunk, became all winkled, and is still very rough. Then I compared it to my daughter's white one. (Please see the attached photos of the good white one and the bad grey ones for comparisons.) The patterns look similar but the grey one has less threads on its pattern. They are made differently with different material, and maybe by different manufactures. I will return it. I don't know if I should lose my confidence with Amazon's vendors or Vera Wang's products. The good thing is that at least Amazon backups its sale and offers a refund. ... show more

I bought the dark grey. Really seems that it will fade out quickly and look chalky. (The people who do the laundry will understand.) And will also require ironing. The weave is too sparse for it not to. Sent back.

Definitely need to wash first for the ideal patter and softness. After washing and drying the waffle patter drunk up to my desire and its very comfortable. Not too hot and heavy, but also just enough to keep me warm.

I'm very happy with this purchase. When it arrived, there was no texture. I washed it before putting it on the bed, and it has so much depth to it now. The look is modern and sophisticated. Eh, just “OK”. For anyone who associates Vera Wang with high quality- this duvet set will disappoint. Duvet is thin and transparent. Feels cheap, and came snagged. Can easily see the tags on the pillows & down comforter thru the duvet and this is NOT a white duvet, the color is more off-white/ecru. ☹️ ... show more
