I don't often carry a super large bag, but when I do this one is great. I think this version is preferable for organization and sturdiness over the new "original tote" designs. It has a sturdy bottom to the bag and lots on pockets around the inside to organize your items. I have also included photos that show it with 1. The small tote, and original small tote. 2. The turnlock wallet, wildwood wallet, zip card pouch, and original hipster. 3. The convertible backpack shoulder bag. The Forever Green is not as vibrant of a color as the official photos seem to show. Though if you get it in sunlight it can read vibrant. In general, though, the color is more tame. Zipper closure top was helpful, as was expansive open interior with numerous side pockets for easy access to all smaller items/ organization ease. This tote is larger than the purse, but that was great when I saw it out of the shipping box. I love it has such larger inside pockets. Lots of them as usual. Outside zipper pocket is great. Behind that pocket is an open pocket, great again. Top rim has the slit pocket which is perfect for your cell phone. I love the material and color is just as it looks. Beautiful grey. Love the inside is black and cream fabric. It is washable. You can’t beat this. It is heavy if you fill it up. It will hold a lot. It would be good for a carry on for air travel. I have another Vera Bradley bag almost like this one, but it is a Disney version. I wanted one for trips that did not involve a Disney destination. This one is slightly different; they redesigned it so the outside zipper and slip in pouches are on the same side, which is more convenient. Also, I discovered there is a little secret pouch between the handles on one side, which was perfect for stashing candies and other small items I might need during a flight and allowed me to access those without having to pull the entire bag out and open it up. They also added a zipper closure for the main part of the bag, which makes it more secure. I have only taken it on one trip so far, but it worked very well. The 4 smaller inside pockets are perfect for holding water bottles, small headphones, small battery chargers, etc. It is amazing how much you can actually get into the bag. This is a good size to pack 2-3 days of clothing for a casual weekend trip. Can be used as an office commute bag or car travel bag. Lots of interior pockets. A couple of minor bugaboos. I wish the pockets were mounted higher on the interior walls and not next to the bag floor. Zippers on a couple of inside pockets would be nice. There is a “secret” exterior pocket that opens at the top rim. ( Nice surprise - cell phone pocket, plus extras.). I don’t understand the main zipper. There are gaps between the zipper and bag at both ends. There must be a reason for the small gaps - sewing technical issue? Amazon prices on these bags are like watching the stock market. High price one day, low the next. Decide how much you are willing to spend on this bag and keep watching the price swings. Water Alert! This cotton fabric bag will absorb water like a sponge. I set the bag down near a hotel A/C window unit. I did not know there was a severe storm the previous day. I managed to set my bag on the one small wet spot in the entire room. Shortly after, my spouse noticed the carpet was wet and the bottom of my bag was soaked. So, do not use this near a swimming pool, bathroom, or in the rain. Do not set on floor near hotel A/C units. Every seam is exquisitely well sewn and no loose strings anywhere! Also, the zipper is outstandingly sturdy - not likely to tear or run off track. These qualities in themselves are miracles in our post COVID pandemic days, considering that quality no longer seems to be a priority. The colors are gorgeous AND the bag SMELLS really nice! So often, due to the chemicals used in production, many fabrics smell dreadful. Not this bag! The scent is mildly rose-like. It is delightful. The bag is rather large - I was a bit surprised - but it’s not really a drawback. I do love all the myriad pockets on the inside and out. It’s a bit pricey perhaps - kind of a splurge for me - but I don’t regret buying it at all. I do recommend this bag! Enjoy! ... show more
