I bought this mainly for an upcoming trip (wanted something lightweight that can hold my passport, boarding pass and other essential items and that I can access easily at the airport) and for future use when I run errands and don't need a larger purse/bag. I like that this bag is very compact yet has several pockets (including one "hidden" one that I didn't find right away). I'd debated whether I needed this hipster when I already have 3 small VB purses but the difference is that I can actually organize my items with the hipster whereas the purses are more like "trash bags" for my stuff. This bag has 4 pockets (including several slots for credit and other cards in one of them) and can hold my iPhone 12 in one pocket, VB wallet in another, and I can stash in any of the 4 pockets other small essentials like keys, a pen, glasses/sunglasses, lip balm, some gum, and a small pill box and small hand sanitizer. The overall shape of the bag is flat, so it works for smaller/flatter items but won't hold anything bulkier. Ideally I'd love for this bag to widen just a tad more (that is, be less flat) for a less snug fit for all my things and that's the only reason I knocked one star off. Otherwise it's a great bag for those outings where you only need your most essential items. The strap is adjustable, the material looks durable, and the colors are vibrant (I got the red one with flowers). I have purchased directly from VB before and this hipster that I ordered via Amazon looks to be authentic. It arrived brand new and packaged like the bags I have purchased directly from VB.

I really love the look, quality, and rectangular dimensions of this crossbody. I just wish the outside pocket had a little more capacity so I could more easily fit my sunglasses into it. I have managed to slide them into the outside pocket with a thin fabric case for easy access, but it's a tight fit.

This bag is very pretty. However, I am going to need to use a lint roller on it a good bit; it seems to collect everything. Also, I put in my cell phone, my eyeglass case, and a small wallet, and it was a little too small for those three items. Still, with just a cell phone and a few credit cards/cash (not a full wallet) and some lipgloss, it would be good.

I have been a Vera Bradley fan for a long time! Most of my life I have preferred the Little Crossbody purse, for it’s perfect size and versatility. But I have just discovered the Mini Hipster, and I am in love! It has all the compartments I need for phone, keys, credit cards, cash, lipstick, glasses; and a little hideaway zipper pouch in the middle which I just discovered for my pillbox or change. I love the size and strap length. So many pretty colors to choose from! For fall/winter, I chose Hope Blooms. For spring/summer, my favorite pattern is Rainforest. I love the plaids, too….but the plaid pattern I really prefer did not come in the Mini Hipster purse selection. But I am very satisfied with my purchase and use my new purse every single day!

I’m planning a trip to Disney and I needed a small light weight bag to carry the essentials. This one is very attractive and and it appears to be a genuine Vera Bradley. The bag has a good sized compartment for your phone, a larger center compartment for chapstick, tissues, hand sanitizer, etc. The one disappointment is the section for your credit cards and license. It barely opens up at all and will probably be inconvenient. It would have been perfect if that compartment had a zipper and opened like a book. I decided to keep it anyway. The fabric is pretty and Vera is always well made.
