Our quilted cotton is colorful and lightweight. Exterior features two side slip pockets, a u-shaped front zip compartment and a front zip pocket. Front u-shaped zip compartment contains four slip pockets, three pen slips and an ID window. Main compartment features two mesh slip pockets. Padded laptop compartment. Padded shoulder straps are shaped for optimum comfort on body. Back panel is padded, and features a shaped trolley sleeve. Zip closures. Accommodates up to a 15" laptop. Capacity 25 L.     • Perfect backpack for school!!
I bought this Vera Bradley backpack for my daughter school year, and it’s been amazing! First of all, the design is perfect. The grey colors and patterns make it easy to spot, and the quality feels top-notch. Functionally, it’s everything needed for a busy school day. There’s a padded compartment that fits a laptop perfectly, plus enough space for textbooks, notebooks, and even her lunch. The front pocket is great for smaller items like pens, hand sanitizer, and earbuds, and the side pockets easily hold a water bottle. The straps are padded and really comfortable, even when carrying it all day across campus. And I love that it’s lightweight but still sturdy enough to hold everything without sagging. I LOVE the campus backpack for travel and for long day kids’ activities. As a low vision individual, I use backpacks everyday to free up my hands so I can use my cane and hold on to my guide. I’ve worn backpacks for 40+ years and gone through a multitude of backpacks (from luxury LV to basic Jansport) in search of the “right” one and always return to VB. The VB campus backpacks (& the small backpacks) are practically perfect. They have enough pockets and compartments to allow me to easily/quickly find my items without being too overwhelming (some backpacks have too much and it gets complicated). They are also very comfortable and sized just right so as not to make me (slender 5’3”) look like a turtle. I have several in both the cotton and the performance twill. I was never a VB girl so not drawn to them due to the brand name, but they do make the best backpacks for me throughout my life stages (college student in the early ‘90s, career, busy older mom of twiblings, and now retired & blind). Additionally, their solid colors are not boring and have fun interior prints that make me smile. I wish I could find Morning Glory. I do have their newer Bancroft and Banbury which are nice (the fabric feels silkier and cool to the touch and the quilting isn’t as thick which can be a good thing especially in the summer), but much prefer the Campus backpack style’s longer length comfort and hidden back zip pocket. I wear my bags higher so they don’t slip/proper weight distribution and the newer Bancroft is shorter so the bottom edge hits me on the small of my back and consequently not as comfortable when fully loaded. This Vera Bradley backpack is sooo cute and very roomy! There are different compartments for your school books and laptop/tablet!! My daughter used it all through high school and it's still in good shape!! I was able to throw it in the washer and dryer also with no issues!!

    • Beautiful, sturdy backpack
Vera Bradley is usually my go-to for quality-made travel bags, and this backpack is no exception. I purchased the black bandana medallion pattern, which is just gorgeous but also subtle. I am not in school but I used this bag for international travel. It fit perfectly underneath the airplane seat. The straps are very comfortable and I wore this backpack while hiking around for hours without any discomfort. Another nice feature is the trolley sleeve in the back, so it fits on top of your rolling luggage. The main caveats are that the laptop compartment in the back fits a 15 inch laptop, but my work laptop is a 17 inch so it fits in the front-most pocket which is actually a larger pocket. This doesn't bother me that much however. After my travels, the bag did get a bit dingy on the white color, so I threw it in the washing machine on delicate cycle (inside of a mesh bag) and then hung it to air dry. There were no issues after washing it and it is very clean again! In terms of capacity and organization, the front zipper pockets are very useful for keeping smaller items like charging cables, tissues, etc. It also has two water bottle pockets on the sides. It is a very roomy yet feminine bag without looking like a giant rucksack. ... show more

No color fade. No stitches breaking. No zippers breaking. Daughter is extremely active HS student with varsity soccer and now club soccer and varsity basketball ball and it’s holding up strong. She beats it like a problem child and still soft and strong even after one hand wash
