It was actually very refreshing to see the old, vintage style & colors being offered again. I’m not a big fan of any of the newer Vera Bradley purses. I no longer have any of my older styles and realized how much I actually miss them. Years ago when I first got into VB, this style of purse was my favorite because it’s not too big or too small and is perfect for carrying your essentials. The pattern/colors are so pretty for Spring. The texture of this purse is a quilted cotton (which VB is known for) and it’s washable! The strap is slim and NOT adjustable. It’s comfortable to wear on your shoulders. There is one small exterior pocket that isn’t very deep and could hold loose change, lip gloss, etc. This purse has a zippered interior with NO interior pockets which is why I removed a star rating. I felt disappointed about that because I like having an organized purse without all the contents scattered everywhere inside and not so easy to find. So with that being said, this purse would be fine for carrying essentials only. If I was going on vacation though, this wouldn’t work as I would need something larger. The quality is what I expect from VB, nice stitching with no loose threads.

This review is for the Elizabeth Blue Vera Bradley Premium Cotton Post Shoulder Bag. I absolutely adore this pattern! I first saw it years ago and fell in love with it. I never had the chance to order it back then, but when it came back, I simply had to have it. It’s even prettier in person than I ever imagined. The delicate roses, along with the vintage look, make the bag so girly and feminine. I absolutely love it. The shoulder bag has a central compartment and an outside pocket for quick access. I love using that outside pocket to keep my ID within easy reach. This bag is a must-have… it’s simply elegant and practical, all rolled into one.

Spring has sprung, and this cute blue shoulder bag fits the warm weather. It's one large open main compartment, and there's a slip pocket on the outside. Paired with a small bag organizer, this is a hit. It's light, and there's plenty of room inside. Though the main purse zips closed, I'd love if the outside pocket zipped closed as well.

This is a very nice, and cute, bag. I love the blue and floral colors and the design. It's very well made, as all Vera Bradley bags are, which is why I have a couple of her bags in different styles. It's a small bag, which I knew when I ordered it. It's not an everyday bag for me as I carry a wallet, a cosmetic bag and my phone, and they won't all fit. However, it will fit my wallet and phone, which is what I carry when we go certain places and that's all I need. It's very well made, and I really like the bag. My only issue, and why I docked it 2 stars, is because it's definitely not a shoulder bag, as advertised. I did notice the strap in the picture is short, but thought that since it said it was a shoulder bag, there'd be another strap inside that could be exchanged for the shorter one, or the short one could somehow be extended, if desired. But, the short strap is the only strap and it doesn't extend, so it's not a shoulder bag at all; it's a handbag. I'll still use it as, other than that, I do love it, but not as often as I would a shoulder bag as I like having my hands free most of the time when using a purse. Granted, I can put it over my shoulder, but then the top of the bag sits right up in my armpit, and no one wants a bag in their arm pit. So, I have mixed feelings about this bag. I really love it for it's looks, but I wish it was truly also a shoulder bag. It's still quite usable, but not as convenient as it could be. So, would I buy this knowing what I now know? Unlikely. If you love a handbag style like this, you'll love all aspects of this bag. But, if you prefer a shoulder bag, this is not it.

I was so excited to order this adorable purse in the Blue Elizabeth pattern. Vintage Elizabeth in the yellow is my pattern. Of course since then I've branched out but Elizabeth always has my heart. I love that they brought it back, but with a color update. I do wish they had more options to order but I was excited to get this purse. This purse is the perfect size for me. I've been alternating between carrying my large backpack to work, and a small sling bag on the weekends. This Vera bag will nicely replace the sling bag. It easily carries my keys, wallet, and small medicine pouch. It also stays up on my should very well. I love the blue take on the Elizabeth pattern, it's a perfect flip and I am here for it. I know my friends would love to see their old patterns re-vibed too.

I have a best friend whose birthday is in December, and she absolutely LOVES Vera Bradley. I got this as a gift for her, and I know she will love it. The medium blue pattern is everything you would expect from Vera - playful, fun, and pretty. The interior is a bright, sunny yellow. The bag overall is a little smaller than I would have liked, but the picture in the description makes that pretty clear. This isn't a purse that's going to replace your everyday haul-all; it's got enough room for a small wallet, a phone, a set of keys, a lipstick and not much else. There's also no interior pockets to keep your belongings organized either, though there is one on the exterior. The zippered top moves smoothly, and the handle is small enough to carry over your wrist, or up on your shoulder if you want. I think it would have made sense to have an extra strap that's adjustable to wear on your shoulder like a regular-length bag. Overall, this is a cute bag to grab for a quick lunch with the girls or to a garden party. I know my friend will love it!
