Great tote!! I have smaller sized zippered black purse/tote for at least 10 years or more. Lightweight washes well, hang to dry, still in great condition. As it has become difficult to carry a heavier purse for me, Vera Bradley Quilted Totes work ideal.

They ruined perfection. Been a VB fan for a few years and, well... I am not impressed with the changes. The Original Vera tote, gorgeous, strong, capable, durable, trustworthy, is now "the original". Puh-lease. This new thing doesn't stand on its own (huge no-no for me), the handles are super flimsy, the six wonderfully useful pockets are not in there anymore (one zip and two small slips, pff). What else? I never used the hidden pocket on the seam but, if you liked it, well, guess what? It is gone too. They are calling this material performance twill but it doesn't feel at all like the old one. I'm so sad with these changes. They did ruin perfection. And one more thing! The name Vera Bradley is nowhere in the product! Who does that?? The only way you can show off it is a VB is if you keep on the ridiculous green ribbon that comes with it. Sigh... ... show more

This bag is exactly what I would expect from the Vera Bradley line in terms of quality and style - they are both great. I love the outer color as well as the contrasting interior color and patterns. Both color and patterns make it is sort of a year round bag. It's large. I like that the interior lighter color makes it easy to find items. The bottom is flat so you can prop it up. The zipper keeps the top fully enclosed. The outer pocket helps keep you organized. It's lightweight and still durable and functional. Everyone keeps stealing it from me because they love it. Right now my niece is using it non-stop as an extra bag to take a long with her toddler props. I might have to order another one. Would make a nice gift. I see that it's been discounted to 70 dollars which I think is a good deal. ... show more

I got this to replace a Vera Bradley bag i got in 2008 in Nantucket. The Nantucket bag has been around the world and on every single trip with me since then. Sadly the buttons and tabs have come apart on the closure and while it still is a great bag I felt it was time to update it with the newer improved bag. I love that this one has a zipper I can fully close the bag with. I also love the way this one is set up. It's a true testament that quality pieces stand the test of time and only a few simple improvements add to the value. I love the solid olive color of this one and that it still has the standard quilted material. This fabric feels more durable than my previous one as well. I love the size and versatility of it as I can use it daily or going on trips. I will say of you don't pack them right they can get unbalanced and become heavy so keep that in mind. Yes, these bags are expensive but they pay for themselves. Every trip since 2008 (several dozen washings) and all I need to do is sew the tab and toggle closure back into place.
