Close all zippers before laundering. Machine wash cold gentle cycle. Use only non-chlorine bleach as needed, line dry. I’ve made a career out of searching for the best everyday handbag. I’ve come close a few times, but now I’ve finally found it. This tote checks all the boxes. It’s big enough to hold all of my stuff, including a large Vera wallet, a bag of toiletries, two glasses cases, one of which is large, a notepad, and numerous other items. But it’s not overwhelmingly huge. I debated about going with the larger tote but I’m glad I chose this one. It’s the perfect size. There’s a slip pocket on the front for my phone plus a nice un-zippered pocket on the back that’s handy for car keys or a phone. I can easily fit my iPad mini in with everything else if I want to take it with me. The inside of the purse has plenty of smaller slip pockets to hold coupons, receipts or whatever. I ordered it in the black microfiber which has a tiny quilted diamond pattern. Very classy. I’m planning to order a second bag in navy for spring/summer use. Love, love, love!!!

I like this purse a lot. I wasn't sure at first, because the handles are a little long, but I have really come to love the size and many pockets. The reason I am only giving it 3 stars is because after only a few weeks of use, the top edge is starting the roll inward and it's really bugging me. I wish I knew why it was doing this, and I wish I could stop it from happening.

The bullet points and answered questions are not necessarily correct for this bag, so I wanted to write a review to help clear things up. I got the Bahama Bay, which is a nice bright color, and I am hoping to keep it that way. Sturdy, and well made, as you're expecting. It will clearly be a long lived bag as long as I can keep it clean, and yes, it's machine washable. From the Vera Bradley site: "Product Care: Close all zippers before laundering, machine wash cold, gentle cycle, use only non-chlorine bleach as needed; line dry". I haven't had a washable work bag before, so this seems a ginormous win. Also from that site, in case the info here gets further confused: "Microfiber is lightweight, solid-colored polyester. Exterior features a front slip pocket, a zip pocket and a hidden top pocket. Interior features six slip pockets. Zip closure." The interior pockets are open at the top, and there are three on each side of the bag. "Dimensions: 11.50" w x 11.25" h x 4.50" d with 12.00" strap drop". There is no cardboard insert in this bag, though there is a sturdy piece of plastic (I think) at the bottom (inside; non removable). I first got the regular Vera Bradley microfiber tote, and that's large enough for my 15" laptop, but it's really a huge bag, so I wanted to try the smaller version. The smaller version is much more what I had in mind (though it won't hold my big laptop). So: this bag is everything I was hoping it would be, and the only question I have is how easy it will be to keep clean. But I love the bright colors and the sturdy fabric, and this is definitely a keeper.

Love this bag. This is my second Vera Bradley small tote. The first one is still in good shape but it is a floral print and I wanted something more neutral for traveling so I got the black. Nicely quilted, sturdy and roomy. Has six inside pockets which keep the bag organized. Also has two outside pockets (one zips) and a “hidden” pocket that is great for keys. Straps are long enough so the bag stays on my shoulder. Very happy with this purchase.

If you want the "small" tote, be sure that description is in the item label. The big tote gives the dimensions of the small tote. It took 3 order with 2 returns to get the right size. The tote itself is excellent.

I have several Vera bags etc. I bought a Navy small tote a few months ago, I loved it. I recently bought another tote but in black for a gift and was disappointed the quality isn’t as good. No hole to connect phone to your charger hidden in your purse. The bottom of the bag feels stiff, something changed. Just know it’s not the same and with the increase in prices I will think twice before buying another one.

I am a big fan of Vera Bradley but generally can't afford them, especially the microfiber which is even more expensive than the regular fabric ones. I caught a really good sale price on Amazon ($45) and jumped on the chance. The bag is gorgeous and I especially like the abundance of slip pockets inside and the zip and slip pockets outside. There is also a secret hidden pocket that is a fun feature (along the seam in the top). This size is perfect for everyday use and I love the wide mouth so that you can see everything in the bag.

This is a really nice bag. It’s a good sized tote. Not too small or too big. It has slip pockets that line the inside of the bag and the main compartment is roomy. On the outside it has two slip pockets (one in front and one in back). Both pockets are able to hold my iPhone 11. There is also a small zippered outside front pocket. Zippers open and close smoothly. When I’m carrying the bag, both straps stay up on my shoulder. It came folded flat so there is a small crease on the backside of the bag. I’m sure it will fade over time. Also, the fabric does attract some fuzzies (not enough to detract me from using it). Both of those reasons are why I’m giving it 4 stars. Overall, if you’re in the market for a smaller sized tote, I would recommend buying this bag.
