I just received my glenna today in snow lotus. The pattern itself is attractive, but the bag quality is inferior. For those who don't know Vera Bradley is an American company that used to make high quality, 100% thick quilted cotton handbags. I have been buying their bags since 2005. For the last few years the quality of their bags has declined. They no longer make anything in the US as for as I know. Their products are now being made in China and other countries and it shows. The bags are now made from a poly-cotton exterior with man made cheap plastic materials inside. This glenna is literally crinkly sounding. AWFUL! The price hasn't changed in years. It's still $80 full priced but the materials are cheap and the stitching is just terrible. Lots of loose threads and frayed bits of sloppy stiching all over. I would suggest never paying full price for VB products as they have kept the same price tags (or gone up) and the materials are just cheap now. Just my opinion. This glenna is going back. I have many glennas from previous years and this "new" design is an insult to quality.

I really love this bag I got it a little over a year ago. I used it a lot but the wear on the handles is horrible. It looks like I have owned it for years. I am disappointed. it looks awful. I wish the handle were replaceable. Maybe a design consideration for the next iteration. It stinks to because as far as I know there is no warranty on VB hand bags.

Love, love, LOVE this Vera bag. Still as light as in earlier years, and this pattern in person has enough pop in the colors to make it a good handbag for summer or winter. Still has the same pockets inside and generous pockets on the outside for cellphone, etc. It is well made, and the straps are nicer to look at and more sturdy due to the change in the handle. They have added a vinyl strip over the fabric handles and they are kinder to your shoulder and hands because of the change. They have also added a draw string that is fully functional and which gives the bag a new, pleasing silhouette if you choose to make use of it. The Glenna is the best, most multi-purpose bag design I own, and well made and light. Arrived on time as expected and so far no problems with it. I don't expect there will be. Vera bags last forever, or at least so far they have for me. Another winner, Vera!

Actually, I was looking for an organizer purse, because I love everything organized in my purse. The search results showed me the Vera Bradley Signature Cotton Glenna Satchel Purse. I absolutely loved looking at all the beautiful prints and the total look of the purse. So I purchased my first designer label purse. I purchased the Floating Garden Glenna Satchel. The beautiful colorful floral print has a water color essence, and is so cheerful. It's striking to look at. Everything about my new purse says quality. It's beautifully crafted, with quality fabric and stitching, handles with faux leather enforcement to make them sturdy. I love the hidden zipper pocket. I found enough pockets to organize to my heart's content. The side cinch ties let me gather the upper part of my purse to give a gathered charming look. I like that. I have a 10in Kindle Fire Tablet and it fits perfectly horizontally in my purse, with room to spare. I liked it so much that I bought the Vera Bradley matching wallet, which I think is equally nice.

I’ve had the bag for a couple weeks. The inside pocket is torn. I kept noticing the stuff I kept in the pocket was at the bottom of the bag and then I saw the pocket was torn. I contacted Amazon and was offered $5 to repair the bag!!! It was that or return it for a full refund and reorder. I bought it on sale and would then have to pay full price. I’m surprised at the quality. I have several Vera Bradley’s and they’ve been great. I think these might be seconds? Anyways, Amazon offered no apologies or much assistance. Not to mention the amount of time it took to get help and kept getting passed on to other people.

I have six original Glennas, and this redesign falls short... again. The straps are the main issue. They are too short, and too close together. I can barely get the straps over a thin jacket. The bag is also heavy and just awkward on. It does not hang well like the original Glenna. The fabric also feels cheap, and the plastic pull tabs are horrible. They severely cheapen the bag like something you might see at Walmart. Terrible redesign.

I got the deep purple floral option. It is a beautiful high quality quilted fabric. Definitely will last a long time. The bag is wide enough for all pockets to have enough room without affecting the adjacent pockets. Outside: 2 deep slip pockets; one in the front and one in the back. Those slip pockets have a narrow opening but deep and wide inside the actual pocket. A hidden deep width zip pocket (it truly is hidden, took me a bit to find it). The straps are long enough to carry it on shoulder but not long enough to use as a crossbody. Outside cons: No side pockets. The sides have pull string cinchers that are suppose to extend bag capacity, but unfortunately it doesn't really change it. Inside: good size capacity with 3 narrow deep slip pockets. 1 zip deep pocket.

I wanted a bag that has a good size top opening, lots of pockets inside and out, not heavy, and pretty. This bag has all that. The only thing I would have wanted was a couple more inches on the shoulder drop. It's really cute and fits my wallet, tablet, sun glass case, water bottle should I need it, and space for much more. I picked out the charcoal medallion pattern because I didn't want too bright of a design. This is perfect. It has a light blue mixed in.
