New to juicing and juicers but have watched many videos and read a lot of reviews. Keep in mind when juicing this should be a part of your nutrition plan and not a diet. Combine the juicer with a blender to get the most out of the foods you consume. Have had the juicer for about a month and so far so good. Equipment: . Keep clean and use supplied brush to get those fine particles removed from rotating screen . Clean often to make sure the equipment stays in good working order (should clean after each use) . Let dry be reassembly :: Expect to be cleaning daily if you’re a daily juicer. Food: . Cut fruit into smaller pieces so that it is easier on the juicer (example: apple into for pieces seed removed) . Do not put fruit such as pineapple through the juicer . Do not put liquids through juicer such as water or almond milk, etc.. . Do not put seed into juicer (save your equipment) . If putting almonds through juicer to make almond milk, make sure to soak almonds overnight (watch YouTube there are plenty of videos) Pros: . Easy to assemble . Easy to clean if cleaned often (do not let sit dirty for long periods of time) . Does a good job of getting all the juice from apples, ginger, etc. Cons: . Sometimes the top is hard to take off or put on. Believe this is due to the main juice chamber being slightly to tall. Keep in mind this is a slow juicer and will extract the most nutrients from fruits/vegetables.... Just be patient when juicing- DO FORCE THE FRUIT/VEGETABLE INTO JUICER!

I'm ready for getting into healthier eating/juicing habits. I'm tired of refined, processed foods, where I eat them primarily to put some bad calories into my body in quick and convenient ways. I've been reluctant to buy a juicer because the last one I had was a cheap, centrifugal unit I admittedly bought twenty years ago. I think I used it once. Happily, however, the technology is here now to provide a streamlined, clean, juicer that I believe will set the bar to a new level. The Ventray Cold Press Juicer is amazing. Like everybody else, I did my fair share of research; I am meticulous that way now. After reading a million or so reviews and watching as many videos, I became pretty jaded, thinking I had basically two choices: either spend a LOT of money on a quality juicer, or stay within an affordable range and get a sub-quality unit I'd be sort of happy with. In watching video reviews, it's gets depressing to see a "best-selling" juicer in my price range sit there and rock and squeak and struggle to get a dribble of juice out. I then found the Ventray, and I kept going back to it time after time. I bought it finally and am really glad I did. I know I'm sounding like a salesman here, but this is really just true enthusiasm. I love this juicer and am 100% happy with it so far. In the past five days, I have used it four times to crank out five or six quarts of juices. I have juiced apples, celery, kale, spinach, ginger, oranges, lemons, pears, carrots, cucumbers, and red cabbage. Everything went in easily and came out perfectly for me. Very little pulp, minimal to moderate foam, and NO "strings" from the greens btw. The wonderful part is you can refrigerate the juice in jars for consumption the next day, and it doesn't degrade at all in taste. Nor does it separate. It also makes juice quickly for it being a slow-juicer. For example, I can make a quart of Joe Cross's lean mean green juice in under five minutes. And I actually used carrot pulp to add to some black-bean burgers I made last night. They were awesome. I was really surprised with how small the footprint of this unit is. It would fit nicely on a countertop, although it is a little tall since it is a vertical machine and may not fit under some cabinets. So far I've left mine out on the kitchen island so I can admire it when not in use; I know...I need to get out more. Really really easy to clean. As I dismantle it, I rinse each piece and toss it in dishwater for a quick wash. It really couldn't be simpler. And for the very best part: the quality of the build. It's heavy. It doesn't vibrate or wobble, or rock when juicing- even hard vegetables like carrots. Each part is made of heavy-duty material, it all fits together perfectly, and feels like it's meant to last a long time. I'm anxious to share the juice with friends, but so far my partner and I have drank it all up (mostly me truth be known). I'm currently fighting off the urge to head to the fridge for more as I write. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a friend, despite the fact that I've had it for less than a week. And to be entirely fair, I'm going to give it a couple of months and do a follow up review with pics. Thanks for reading this.

I have only had this machine for one week. However, my first impression is totally positive. Easy to assemble,operate and clean, and just as important produces great juice. My only potential concern is the durability of the small silicone seal at the pulp discharge chute over extended and daily use, time will tell. Reasonable price and great warranty. After one week I began to have concerns. The feed tube was very difficult to open and close. In fact, my wife often had to ask me to open or close it. This brought up a concern that the small plastic locking tab would not last long(more on this later). I decided to email Ventray customer support for comment. Within and hour I received a reply from Leopold at customer support. After a few emails and a discussion about the step up model 808 ($179 on Amazon) I decided for an additional $30 it was a no brainer. I was within the 30 day return, so I ordered the 808, received my return code and waited for the new one to show up. On day 25 that small plastic locking tab broke! As luck would have it within an hour Amazon delivered the step up 808. Although similar in design the 808 is a without a doubt a better machine! The first thing I saw when opening was two replacement silicone seals for the discharge shoot, my first concern, Second, this machine is simple to open and close, Third it's much heavier and the motor is more powerful. So, in closing step up it's worth it. Finally, often one of the most frustrating problems as a consumer is customer support. Leopold at customer support got back to me quickly every time giving me confidence in my purchase.
