  • I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised
I was looking for a masticating juicer and was recommended this from a friend. All the other masticating juicers I found were very expensive. (For some reason saying masticating so often makes me giggle). Anyway... I need a juicer that can grind up and extract juice from both ginger root and turmeric roots which are pretty firm so the usual centrifugal juicers don't work. This juicer is VERY SMALL but it suits my needs perfectly. I can make enough juice to partially fill 8 2oz shot glasses. It's not really easy to clean but then again no matter what I use, cleaning up turmeric root will be messy and make a stain. So word to the warning, while I didn't need gloves to make my juice shots, I DEFINITLY needed it for when I cleaned the juicer. The only thing I really had trouble juicing was pineapple chunks. They're naturally very juicy anyway so it would sometimes shoot the juice up and out of the intake area if I pressed down too hard. Next time I'll at least re-squeeze some of the juice out first. So this juicer is well worth the money! ... show more

  • Have to get the hang of it first
The first time I used this, I was frustrated. The instructions call for 1.5” pieces, so I chopped my carrots, celery, etc. into chunks of that length. These were too fat for the chute. What works *way* better is to cut skinny carrot/celery sticks that are much longer. Focus on the width of the vegetable; any length works. Once I figured this trick out, it works well as a daily juicer. If I stick with a juicing practice, I might upgrade to a model that can handle large chunks. This is perfect to try it out/small volume! Might not handle a family of four, but works well for me. Generally cleans very easily…one little flap I struggle with getting clean. I recommend it as an inexpensive model! ... show more

  • Great little juicer
I’m absolutely tickled and ecstatic that someone thought to make a juicer this small so it could be easier to bring when traveling. I got it for that purpose, but also for making personal juices when not making larger portions for my family. Because it’s so small, it is 70 RPM (rotation per minute) vs a much more expensive slow masticating juicer that can have 40 RPM (meaning more juice every time you run the veggies/fruits through). Note that the higher the RPMs, the higher the oxidation, which some say compromises the nutritional value, but honestly having this little thing and juicing while traveling is much healthier than not juicing at all. (Side note: If you’re not juicing organic, make sure to wash your veggies well; warm water and baking soda soak/wash is one way.) The irony of this is, I got it to save time when making my personal juices (not having to use/wash my larger expensive juicer), but since it’s so small you do need to run the pulp through 2-3 more times if you want to get the most yield (since the RPM is high—food literally goes through the small crusher in a second and it’s out, so not much squeezing time). Having to run the pulp through takes more time. You don’t HAVE to run the pulp through again but it’s not a dry pulp at first try and with produce being expensive, it makes sense to want the most juice you can get. I still like this little thing; it’s surprisingly powerful and well made for its size. I love that everything comes apart easily for cleaning and there are no places stuff can get caught in “forever.” So it’s nice to know that thought was put into the design. If you’re planning to juice a lot or have a family who will drink juice too while traveling, perhaps the larger Shine Kitchen Co. by Tribest SJV-107-A Slow Juicer is better for you. If you juice regularly at home and drink larger portions—don’t waste time getting a teeny juicer like this—best to invest in a good quality slow masticating juicer with a lower RPM (more yield, more nutrients retained, easier). I like the Omega VSJ848 and the Nama J2 cold press slow masticating juicers; I learned about them through the YouTube channels Okraw and Discount Juicers. Happy little purchase and would be a nice gift. ... show more

  • Cute and Compact Juicer, Great for Small Spaces
I purchased this juicer for its compact size and cute design, and I'm happy to say that it definitely does the job of making fresh juice. The juicer is easy to clean, which is a major plus, and is able to make fresh juice, including beet and carrot juice. While it does take longer to make juice compared to larger juicers, the ability to make fresh juice is a big plus, and the compact design makes it a great option for those who have limited counter or storage space. If you're looking for a larger capacity juicer or need to juice large quantities at once, however, this may not be the best option for you. Overall, I would recommend this juicer if you're in need of a compact option that gets the job done. Its cute design and easy-to-clean features make it a great addition to any small kitchen or apartment. ... show more

  • Quiet & sturdy!
This juicer is small, but powerful! I am pleased and very surprised with how well it worked for me. I love that it automatically sticks to my counter with the already installed suction cups. It was fairly quiet compared to bigger ones I have used. I juiced celery and it juiced with ease. The pulp was fairly dry. I was surprised by that. I added a cucumber and that pulp was still a bit wet, but I guess that’s because cucumbers tend to be all water. I do not mind the cucumber pulp not being completely dry as I will use any pulp to add it to soups. If you are looking for something affordable, compact, quiet and gets the job done; I highly recommend this juicer. It was very easy to assemble and even easier to clean. It comes with a small brush that gets into smaller areas, such a great add on. I’m very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • I didn’t get the brush to clean it
I think it is perfect. I tried it out with some spinach and it worked really nicely but they didn’t send the brush to clean it and it makes it harder to clean without it. That’s the only bad thing out of it. I don’t want to return the whole thing just because of that so I’m going to see if they can just ship me the brush or something ... show more
