It is next to impossible to install, then it does not cover the whole steering wheel. Your fingers will be always cold, while palm is barely heated. It takes a long time to heat up and wires, those wires are on the way big time. If you disconnect them from the source, it gets cold right away. The bottom line, it is absolutely useless. Don't even think to compare this to OEM heated steering wheel. This is not even close. I cannot recommend this product.

It took a lot of pulling and stretching to get it over the wheel (Honda Pilot). Fingers are sore. I'm just an average-strength guy, so ymmv. The cord is so short that if I turn the steering wheel all the way around, it disconnects. I ordered a coiled cord on ebay, maybe that will help. It does put out some heat, but I hoped it would be warmer. It should still be nice to have. Edit: After driving for a few more hours without gloves on, I can feel the heat better. Changing this review from 2 to 3 stars. I like the material, cozy and soft. It fits snug on the wheel once it's installed.

This heats well, though it takes a little longer than stated. I let my car warm up on the driveway for 5-10 mins in the wintertime before leaving for work, and I plug this in and let it heat up while the car is in park. Do not leave this plugged in while you’re driving or it will get tangled up in your steering column when you turn the wheel! I disconnect it from the cord when I’m about to put the car in drive. (If only someone could invent a wireless heated steering wheel cover!) the cover itself is a little big for small hands, but I don’t think there’s any way around that with a steering wheel cover. The fur still retains enough warmth even when disconnected, and it’s certainly a whole lot better than an ice cold steering wheel in the freezing temperatures. I lost a lot of weight and began getting Reynaud’s phenomenon when the temps dropped (this is when your fingers and toes go numb from the cold), and this steering wheel cover has really helped me this winter.

I live in Wisconsin and there are winter days that my steering wheel is so cold that it hurts to touch it. I bought this steering wheel in hopes that it would help my hands not to hurt and it does the trick. It takes a few minutes to warm up, but the cover itself is not as cold as a bare steering wheel. I really like that the plug-in comes where it plugs into the steering wheel and it sticks out a bit so that prevents the cord from going around the base of the wheel. If it does, it is easy to unplug. ***Please note that this puppy is hard to put on the steering wheel. It's not a bad thing because you want it to be a tight fit and it is. I recommend letting it heat up for 10 minutes and then put it on. You don't really need any tools, but I used a butter knofe to get it over the last portion of the wheel. The price was great!

I am very disappointed with this product. Problems: 1. It barely gets warm, and it only does that in two small spots. 2. It sheds; I get black threads on my hands and clothes when I drive. 3. I don't have a large steering wheel, so I assumed the "one size fits all" would fit. Not only was it very difficult to get on, but it only covers half the the steering wheel so that you are touching both the fabric and the steering wheel at all times with an uncomfortable thickness change and sharp lip. 4. I accidentally pulled out the cord where it connects to the steering wheel. Because of the overly stretched fit, I can't figure out how to plug it back in to receive even the minimal comfort of the two warm spots.
