I play alot of pool and I love trying out tools, gadgets, accessories and cues and so I also own the cuetec version of this tool that cost a lot more and honestly I don't see a big difference. The set up is a little different on this version but it works great. The scuffer is a good shape and very gritty, the needles and very good and sharp and the flat shaper for removing the mushroom one the side of a rip works good too. Overall worth the money for sure. I love that it is all metal and no plastic parts.

A great buy. Very solidly manufactured and it meets my needs. The aerator needles don't penetrate the tips all that deeply (not sure how deeply they're supposed to go), but the scuffer works very well. I haven't tried the shaper yet.

I dont think I can recommended this product it always feels like there's resistance whether you're unscrewing it or screwing it back in, so you'll just have to make do with what you've got. Its not very big. Its easy to use but it doesnt screw well. It costed nothing practically.

This has everything you might need to shape the tip of your pool cue and prepare it to take some chalk. Nice compact design. I docked one star because the first one that came was damaged, some of the metal spikes had fallen out. The new one was in tact. thanks!

Perfect for portable tip treatments. Really gets the chalk to hold and allows custom bite on the cue ball.

We got a pool table and the accessories to go along with it however some of the pool cues weren't holding chalk on the tips because they were new and not scuffed up enough. I am not an expert on this but I have watched a couple videos on the best methods to get your Q to hold chalk and this little tool made it very easy to make that happen. I am by no means a pool shark however I do know enough and have decent control with my shots that it is important to make sure you have Chalk in the right places. definitely something I recommend if you have a table as it is very small and easy to keep out of the way and you will occasionally need it.
