Should have gone to IKEA. Ughhh.... quality for the price is not worth it! Installation was simple to follow, but the quality is horrible. Just installing the screws the paint chipped off installed them by hand as I thought it was because I was using an electrical screw driver- but it chipped both ways. All I did w/ my hands put pressure and the wood peg broke the board. So when placing the sides recommend you do it with the product standing up as when laying down I thought it would be less pressure on the boards so they would break but they still broke. Should have gone to a store seen similar ones for a lower price. Didn’t returned as I had already thrown out the box :( did assemble and placed it in my daughters room for toys. I wouldn’t put books into anything heavy on top shelves.

This cabinet is exactly what I wanted. It took me a while to assemble because I did alone and I’m a 71 year old woman. I actually did most of the assembly on my bed ;-) too difficult to get up and down from the floor. The cabinet was going in my bedroom under my TV. I also used an electric drill. You just need to go slow, be gentle when screwing everything in with the drill. Must have patience. I followed the directions one step at a time.

This product is very thin and cheap. The locking mechanisms down turn and seat well. The wooden dowels are too small and are useless. One wooden dowel poked out the top and broke the permanent surface, ruining the finish. The white plastic stickers they provide to cover the holes are a joke. They don’t sit flush because the locks they cover don’t either. It has a very cheap and flimsy look due to the poor design and finish. I’m embarrassed to have this in my new home, even though it’s just for storage purposes. I’m truly disappointed by the poor quality and finish. I’d rather have spent more for a better made unit. It arrived in the original box, all torn and ratty looking. Very disappointed.

This bookcase is great and was everything I was looking for in this price range. I needed a specific size and didn't want to spend too much money and this fit the bill. As others have mentioned, putting it together is a little time consuming, but this is actually a good thing because there are many screws that help this bookcase be much more sturdy than the cheap ones you find in Walmart and Target. One thing to note is that you have to be really careful when putting in the screws. If you don't screw it in straight you will split the wood and paint. It took me about 1.5hrs to put it together and I found the instructions to be pretty clear and easy. There were just so many pieces but once you put together one piece the others are pretty easy to figure out. Really happy with my purchase!

I've purchased several matching VASAGLE wooden pieces and continue to be pleased with the quality and appearance. Very affordable and good quality for the price point. This bookcase is sturdy and secure. I'm utilizing it as a make-shift bar but its sturdy enough for books, plants, or whatever your heart desires. I'd definitely recommend this product. In terms of assembly, I put it together solo but there's a few moments where I utilized a chair for balance when assembling the shelving units. Would be a breeze with two people but doing it on your own is viable.

Very nice looking! Fairly easy to put together once you get the idea. Biggest problem was one of the wooden pegs poked a hole through the top of it. But it wasn’t worth taking the whole thing apart, trying to pack it back up, and shipping it back like they wanted me to do, so I’ll just cover it up.

It took my younger brother and myself about an hour and a half to put together. All of the main screws you really have to be careful putting in otherwise the varnish around the holes will pop up. Luckily all of the holes are covered, but you can definately ruin the shelves if you're not careful. With the back panel, you have to screw it in with out holes in the shelves. But its super cute and feels like solid wood. Its definately either pressed wood or plywood. But it's really nice looking.

This bookcase is just what I needed. After months of searching I finally found this book case. I use it as a table top case and it holds all my books. I do podcast and it looks great in the background! Beautiful piece, firm, steady, high quality.
