My cousin had a similar version of this (same brand) and had to buy it- lifting the table up so it’s easier to work on your laptop and eat is a game changer. I chose this one bc of the outlets and drawers. Only thing is the cord is visible and I still have to figure out how to cover it up.

I've assembled several pieces of this type of furniture, and it took me several hours across two days (with some help) to get this coffee table assembled properly. This table, more than any other furniture I've assembled, requires that you pay very close attention to the orientation of the pieces and the specific hardware you have to use on each step. If you mess up any of the previous steps you will have to go back and redo it correctly or you cannot get it put together. The instructions were in very small print and had specific measurements and positioning that you needed to consider but were not always as clearly marked as I would have preferred. However, after the ordeal of assembling it was completed, the table itself was excellent. It is made very well for this type of furniture. There were no scratches or chips or bent parts. Everything was in good condition and the parts themselves were labeled clearly. The assembled table feels very sturdy even when the top is raised up. Both drawers slide in and out smoothly and fit well without any gaps that cause shifting. There are two drawers and some "hidden" storage compartments under the lid which is great for storing charge cables since the table has a built-in power outlet. I would definitely recommend this table but only if you are very good at assembling furniture or have someone to help that is. ... show more

My gripe can be summed up in one word, ASSEMBLY. I'm no rookie here. I've assembled probably 30 pieces of furniture like this in the last 10 years. Let's start with the screws. They are cheaply made and will strip out with any drill you use. You will have to use the tiny allen key provided the entire time. The biggest major problem though is the diagrams are so tiny and hard to see. Worse is that the pictures do nothing at all to orient you to which way a piece should face before installing. If you get a step wrong you will be forced to start over. I ended up braking part of the wood because I couldn't get the top aligned properly, requiring the whole unit to be broken down and re-assembled. As if all this were not enough, the final step requires installation of 8 bolts with no room to place your hands or tool. ... show more

We absolutely love this table! It was a little difficult to put together but now it was worth it. No complaints here and it goes well with our livingroom. It hold all our games and kids colors and coloring books. And the convience of the plug in is great!

Horrible directions! The top does not fold flat! There is a 2 inch gap. Not worth the hassle to return.
