I got this shelf because it was supposed to perfectly fit the last bit of wall space I had in my 1br apartment, but it list its measurement from the top of the top shelf instead of the actual top of the bookshelf so it's blocking things behind it, like my thermostat. It's a cute shelf but it's really annoying to take measurements and compare a ton of products to buy a not cheap shelf cause it should fit just for a dumb situation like this. It's 55.5 inches tall, not 50, so make sure you're accounting for that extra half a foot when considering this otherwise good item.

This is my second piece in my home office. It isn’t quick to put together, but the instructions are good and the pieces fit together easily. The finish on the wood looks good and has been really durable on the matching desk.

I know it’s a sturdy shelf but unfortunately there is something wrong. The right and left should be symmetrical, but they are not. They are exactly the same direction, which resulted in leaving 4 open holes I can’t get screws in. I contacted the seller but couldn’t upload pictures and had no response. I don’t know what to do.

So, the worst part was assembly. Assembly wasn't even hard honestly, it's just manufactured very lazily. It's essentially just two left pieces and some wood, meaning not all the holes are going to fit right. It's still decently sturdy, a bit wobbly, but definitely works as a shelf for now while I'm in a smaller room space. Will definitely upgrade in the future.
