Shelf arrived at exactly when it said it would, two day shipping on a shelf is pretty crazy lol. Anyways, anyone with half a brain could put it together in a short amount of time, especially helpful if you have a drill with Allen key bits for the screws that are provided. Shelf is fairly sturdy and looks really good. Considering the price point it's an awesome shelf. Something to be aware of is that yes it is 12" wide but the inside shelves are only about 11" since it has the backstops, holds records perfectly but I wouldnt want to fill the entire shelf full since it probably wouldnt hold that much weight. But to hold a TV, some records, a couple consoles and some speakers....it's perfect. Would highly recommend ... show more

I love how it looks and how many books and trinkets I can fit on it. Very sturdy. The adjustable feet help keep the bookshelf level on unlevel floor. The only thing I did not like was how the instructions where printed. I've put together my fair share of DIY bookcases, shelves, bedframes and so on. I've never had to take something apart so many times and put it back together due to the instructions being unclear on which way a board or part should be facing. It was frustrating. Should have taken me a half hour to put it together, ended up taking almost two. I was, in the end, able to put it together and despite the struggle it is absolutely worth it. I was looking for something to replace a 4-cube organizer I'd been using the last six years to store vinyl records on as I had run out of room. Others mentioned using it for the same thing and I took a jab at it as well. This thing appears to be pretty solid and sturdy. Has two metal bars along the bottom so I feel more comfortable with the weight on the bottom shelves. Assembly was pretty straightforward and simple, though the smaller allen wrench took some convincing to stay in the screws about 85% of the time. It came with two different sized allen wrenches, as well as, a nice double-sided (phillips and flathead) screwdriver and all the needed hardware. The wood stain is a little darker than pictured, and I actually like it better. Now I have the perfect audiophile set-up! Definitely recommend this cube organizer. ... show more

It took much longer to assemble because the instructions are difficult to tell which way the pieces should be assembled. This caused me to have to disassemble and reassemble parts twice. i took a chance on this product because there were very few comments to read and several had part shortages, damage or misdrilled holes. we had none of these issues. the piece went together well and it is sturdy and as described. the cubes i used leave a space alongside perfect for several books. i purposely did not "overburden" each cubby with books because i was worried the piece would bow, but it has not and there is still a good amount of hardback books in each cubby and a few alongside on each shelf. i am ordering another for my dining area to hold sewing supplies (yes, i'm one of those artists that takes over every inch of the house). for the sleek, minimal appearance, sturdiness and cost, it's a great buy. ... show more
