The depth is smaller than I thought it would be, but that's my fault for not paying attention to the dimensions. I got it for my daughter's room, and a lot of children's books are long so they hang off the sides. Assembly was relatively straight forward, but I found the back panel doesn't smooth out (its folded in to thirds) as well as some other shelving I've had in the past. I was super excited about this bookcase to display my books in the living area. We put it together and I was happy about the color/pattern. This is not real wood, but sturdy enough for todays time. The backing slides into tracks and has stabilizers the slide in behind it to keep it from rattling or moving. As other commenters, the stickers; including the ones to tell which borax is which, will damage the product. I placed the larger stickers on the bottom (just in case they damage the product coming off later), and I plan on getting some type of product to remove the adhesive. Over all, this shelf was super easy to put together, pleasing to look at and decent for the money in our current economic status. One other aspect of like to change, other than the stickers, would be I wish it was taller. It’s about 3” shorter than me (5’7), and was focused on the width for a specific space. ... show more

I ordered 2 of the 5 tier shelves and it took me (by myself) around 20 minutes to put both together. All of my books fit without issues, even my taller ones so that’s a plus. Only negatives I found are the stickers (easily removed with hair dryer) and the backing is just taped together instead of a solid piece. Neither are a deal breaker for me, just annoying peeling stickers off. ... show more

It’s a pretty color, a bit darker than the pic but not by much. Very sturdy and heavy but the shelf space between each one is not tall enough for most books but I think it does have measurements but I just didn’t realize it so it’s my fault! Still a pretty good price for what it is though

Sturdy and nice looking. Several minor problems. Back panel tape was broken but duck tape solved the problem. Stickers are hard to remove. Allen wrench was not included.
