We assembled this one evening in less than an hour. If you work together as a team and read the directions it is very simple. Pleasantly surprised with how sturdy it is. We originally bought this because we needed a space for our microwave and I have kitchen counter clutter. We also needed a place for my Nespresso machine and is this not the cutest little coffee bar? We adore this little spot in our kitchen. The top shelf is very sturdy and has been holding our herb garden which is filled with water so it is heavy. Everything has been peachy. A standard microwave fits like it was made for that cubby we put ours in. And it has enough space for our large air fryer too. The produce basket is one of my favorite aspects too. We throw our red potatoes, onions, and garlic there. Perfection. And the little hooks hold our measuring spoons and cups, and bananas! If you’re wondering if this is worth it… it absolutely is.

Actually useful

Have had this for 2.5 years and have been quite pleased with it. At my previous place I used the small, raised shelf and it has good clearance to use the main surface. The only issue with the shelf is that you can't get the whole thing flush to the wall except the shelf. It'll keep the rest about 1/2 inch away. But you don't have to install it if you don't need it. At our current place it would be in the way so we removed the shelf and stored it until we can use it again. As for the rest it's quite sturdy. I used the main surface to store my bowl lift 8 qt KitchenAid Stand Mixer without fear of the whole thing collapsing. Now we have our microwave (the small size not standard size), rice cooker, and quick boil tea pot on the main shelf and there is still a bit more space to set down a cup or phone. The other shelves have ample space and height for my bulk food storage system as well. The drawer smooths out with use but the wire spacing is a decent size so don't expect to have it hold small items. We used it for things like Hot Coco and Apple Cider individual serving packets and that worked great. It is difficult to clean under since the clearance from the floor to the bottom of the shelves isn't all that much. Lastly you can put it together by yourself, but it can be tricky. My piece of advice is to put it together lying on its back for the main part. Then lift and attach the cross supports, the drawer, and the additional small shelf if desired. I feel like the directions told me to put it all together standing. Also if you have a drill, it will make your life so much easier for attaching the shelves to the middle support. The holes are really close to the shelves for the opposite side making it harder to use hand tools. Just take it slow and easy with the drill so you don't strip anything on accident. Overall, I normally don't trust furniture from Amazon, but this turned out to be a good buy.

4 stars for the rack but missing instructions

The rack/shelf itself looks good and is sturdy. Good amount of space that fits a lot. My only major complaint is that the instruction booklet was missing 4 pages in the middle. It literally skipped from page 7 to 12 which are the most important pages since that's when the actual instructions started. I searched all over online for a booklet or video. I stared at the pics and counted the different screw holes to deduce how to start. I read reviews here. I wasted a LOT of time but once I got started, it took me about 45 min to an hour to do by myself. It wasn't hard. The only tool you need is an Allen wrench and that was included. My pack had one extra screw for every type so I ended up with 3 extra screws - no I didn't mess it up. The booklet said there should be 20 screws for type O but I had 21, 10 type N but I had 11, and 8 type M but I had 9. I don't know if this was intentional but I guess it's nice to have spare parts. It's designed well and if I had the instructions, I probably could have done it faster. In case it happens to any one else, the type O long screws are for screwing all the shelves to the frame including the mini one above. The N medium screws are for the large shelf that goes across the main top plus the 4 screws to attach the two racks for the mini shelf up above. The last type M little short screws are for the stabilizing cross in the back and the slider for the drawer. Pro tip: make sure you check the frame pieces for holes that actually belong in the back and start from there. Two of the frame pieces have those holes. Make sure you have those on the same side or else you will have to start all over. I didn't have this problem but I can see others easily getting confused. Other than that, I am happy with this purchase.

Just what I was looking for

I was looking for somewhere to store my kitchen appliances to free up some counter space so I decided to try this one out. I was a little nervous because I saw a lot of reviews that were negative in terms of putting it together and the directions being unclear, but honestly I think those were user errors. It just takes a little common sense to make sure things go in the right places, like the basket rails for example. I got it together in under 20 minutes and it is surprisingly sturdy. The only issues I had were some parts being hard to screw in with a drill or screwdriver, but it is easily avoidable just by using the allen wrench that is provided. Overall, it’s been great, it even fits my stand mixer and blender on the shelves nicely and gives me a little more space left to play with.

I looked and looked for a bakers rack that I loved and had good reviews. This one fit the bill, with a few modifications. I knew I wanted the little shelf over top for my coffee things. Though this one didn’t have the grate to hang things from, I used a couple wire squares from a cube storage set that I zip tied together to fit the space, then zip tied to the shelf supports. I didn’t want to pay for the outlet style as I worried about the quality of the outlet, so I zip tied my own outlets to the wire. I assembled it myself in roughly an hour. The shelves feel nice and sturdy. The screws were coarse thread and quite large, so I hope they last a while!
