    • Great for a lightweight standing desk option - we move this around constantly and use a 15" laptop + mouse/mousepad
Since we like to work at different places around the house (basically whatever feels comfortable that day - or if we want to be by the TV or not), but also wanted the flexibility of a standing/sitting position, we looked for a good solution. For a while I was using a relatively cheap "DJ notebook stand" that was adjustable (via screws) but not on-the-fly. You'd have to remove everything, take it apart, then reassemble. Also, it didn't hold anything else - just the laptop. So no mouse, mousepad, phone, etc. After some browsing around, I felt good with this choice and was pleased when it arrived since it was completely assembled and ready to go. It was sturdy and easy to adjust from a flat position to a fully extended position. There is enough space for a 15" laptop + mouse/mousepad. You could go with a 17" on top and a little less room for the mouse, but it'd probably be serviceable. More than anything, it's light enough to move from the kitchen counter to the top of a desk or even the top of a shelf or side table. Again, we wanted something flexible that we could use wherever we decided to work. Highly recommend this for those that want a flexible standing desk option. Yes, there are cheaper options out there, but sometimes you get what you pay for and I didn't want a cheap, particle-board contraption that would fall apart easily. ... show more

I work exclusively from home and use an old fashioned desk with a typewriter return. Because of the reduced depth this model was the only size that would fit my needs. I am using this item for more size and weight than designed so take my opinion with that in mind. It holds my monitor, keyboard and mouse (with pad) adequately (I knew it would be tight). The up and down feature works well but you must pay attention when the elevation is close to flat as there is very little tension in the springs. This is probably due to the weight and bulk of my equipment. I expect that it would get 5 stars for laptop use. If I could give it a 5- I would. ... show more

    • Versatile height adjustments
After using the VARIDESK Laptop 30 for a few months, I must say that I'm extremely happy with my purchase. As a teacher I and up and down from my desk all day long. With the Laptop 230 I can raise it up and not have to sit down then get right back up to talk to a student or go to their desk to help them. I'm already standing when they come to ask a question. Later in the day when I begin to tire (yes, teachers do get tired!) I can just lower it back down and sit for a while. I gave the catalog to my administrator to look at. I got this for my husband who is a teacher. He uses it every day while teaching on zoom all day. He says it eases back strain & helps with his posture. He says it’s sturdy and works great. I picked this up to have a standing desk option now that we're all working at home, with no proper home office. It's been great for getting the proper ergonomics to use my laptop while standing at the dining room table. I've also used it while sitting on the bed or the floor for conference calls. Absolutely worth the price. I tried other cheaper and alternative products and once I received this product I saw the difference. It is sturdy and easy/Smooth to operate - exactly what I needed to transition between souring l sitting and standing, quickly, many times through the day. It supports my laptop and 2nd (usb) monitor with ample space for mouse. Thank you Varidesk for manufacturing such a quality product.
