Likes: 1) All Black, cant stain this. Dirt wipes or hoses off easily. 2) A sole that grips, I can see why skateboarders love these. I just wanted something that would not slip. It is a gummy rubber bottom, even on wet tile. I am age 60, so slipping becomes a big deal. 3) Light and comfortable day 3, Just a few days to adjust the lacing for me, looser toward the toe made it a perfect fit 4) Not made in China, it was made in Cambodia. I dislike that the CCP is threatening Taiwan and the free world. We vote with our dollars. Sure, US made would be great, but I am just thrilled to avoid the communist at this point. Dislikes: 1) Branding, its hard to avoid with a great shoe as the are proud, but its not bad and I could take a Sharpie and black it out in a minute. 2) Mine had to ship from the UK to the US, so I had a wait. I like canvas sneakers, but they're hard for me to find (I wear a size 16 narrow, so I have a weird foot). I usually wear Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars because they're the only ones I can lace tight enough for my narrow foot, but I dislike the "flip-flop" sound they make. I've tried old school Vans canvas shoes (too wide, still flip-flop) and Adidas (perfect width, dead silent, but just a half inch too short), and still haven't found the perfect black-and-white canvas sneaker that I want. These are the closest I've found. They're a little too wide, but not terrible. They make a little bit of the flip-flop sound, but not enough to be annoying in my tomb-like office hallways. The build quality seems to be of higher quality than Chucks, and they look really nice. There's not as much support as the Adidas, but more than the Chucks. Over all, they're not perfect but they'll be what I'm buying for the foreseeable future. ... show more
