You can’t see it from Amazon’s website before u order. A very clever, subtle Pattern is on the shoes. They are Not Stained. They are Dark Grey or Smoke. Very unique shoe. Perfect fit to size. Good job Van’s!!! Seemingly solid shoe like the old ones I had decades ago. Awesome.

Recently I purchased these shoes and after 2 weeks of wearing them the rubber started separating from the canvas. It was still within the return period so I sent them back and promptly received another pair. Within a few weeks the replacement pair began coming apart like just like the first pair I received, except worse. It is now past the return period and I’m stuck with a pair of shoes that continue to fall apart. I have worn Vans shoes for years and never had any issues with the workmanship of the their shoes. Got these cause I wanted covered shoes when recycling glass and metal. Keeps my feet dry when it sprinkles. Looks great, got compliments. Stylin and not too loud, more subtle but still has the 'it' factor. I pretty much wear Sanuk slippers the majority of the time, and Salomons for hiking and trailrunning, even have a pair of Doc Martens, but can't go wrong with classic skater-style shoes from Vans. ... show more

I’m a fan of Van’s shoes and I like this shoe. My only issue is that the picture in the ad shows a charcoal grey shoe but what I received is nearly black with some slightly lighter camouflage blotches that I initially thought were stains. Also, the soles in the ad look like a Carmel color but in reality are a dark green tint. Don’t get me wrong, I still like them and will keep them but it’s not exactly what I expected so I’m taking one star off. ... show more

Actual shoes were much darker than in the photo, and had tannish splotches like a very subtle camouflage. I could imagine someone liking them, but they were not at all like what I thought I ordered unfortunately.

I thought these would last a 17yr old a little longer but these things came apart so dang fast. And my son is no athlete, he is a big nerd that never goes outside lol. These came apart within 3 months of wearing them. I kept them, because 3 months is on me and doesn't feel right returning them at that point. But I thought with them being waxed, they would have been a little more durable. ... show more
