I bought one of these slips to add to some "vintage" undies that I was buying. I find I am having a late life regression of late!! I was born in the 50's, rocked in the 60's served in the Air force during the 70's. So wore a lot of what are called "vintage" today. SO I can write that this slip does have that "vintage" feel. Of course full slips have never really changed style much, mostly in material. I find that I miss the feel of 100% nylon! This slip fits as expected, is smooth, rides nice on my senior frame!! comfortable. Now I need to find this slip in longer lengths. All in all happy with purchase. ... show more

I ended up returning this slip (I had the black one) for a few reasons. The major issues are that it runs small, and the overall shape is really off. The straps were huge on me, making the neckline hit nearly below my chest. It also has some pretty pronounced darts that, if worn under my dress, would’ve given me Katie Perry-esque firework missiles rather than the smooth figure I was after. Aside from the shape, the fabric is very thin and cheaply made. This is not a luxurious slip by any means—it feels low-quality. Maybe this one’s on me because the price was no more than $20, but I guess I expected just a bit more in the quality department. I wasn’t looking for luxurious, but I was looking for something soft, satiny, and with a nice drape for a great foundation under my dress. Vanity Fair isn’t known to be the best quality brand, but the brand is pretty popular so I felt comfortable buying a slip from them, not expecting it to be the best thing I’ve bought but still expecting better. The papery, cheap feel of the slip made noise when I walked, almost like the plastic of a winter coat or snow pants, which is definitely not the vibe I—nor most women—are after when getting ready for a fun night out in a favorite dress. Had a small unseen seam in the bodice. Very cheap fabric that I with had more silliness or drape, but it will get the job done to line a sheer black dress. I don’t see this lasting long with regular wear but for the price if you need a one time slip it’s perfect.
