I’ve used several lubes both water based and synthetic over the years. Water based are all but useless in my experience as they dry out/absorb quickly, need to be reapplied and soon result in a thick sticky gunky mess. Synthetic is the way to go and I have tried several others including JO and Gun Oil. While the others were good and I used them for years I recently decided to look around and see what else was out there. The reviews on Lush got me to give it a try and I am glad I did, and now that we are through about half the bottle I feel comfortable enough to give my recommendation. The pump bottle is very convenient and works well even with some on your hands but also prevents runs, drips and spills which is a problem with regular squeeze bottles. The consistency is just awesome. Lush is an apt name for this lube because it manages to be just as slick as any other synthetic lube I have found but at the same time it has a different texture to it that can best be described as creamy. The viscosity is somewhere between a liquid and a gel and it spreads smoothly without running and dripping all over the place. All that and it still lasts as long as any other synthetic lube I have found, which is to say nearly forever. I have found no noticeable taste which is good because I have yet to find a “flavored” lube that was anything short of gross. Clean up with soap and water is pretty easy but even with the lube all gone from the surface you will still feel some residual slickness for hours. Slick but not creepy slick if that makes any sense. Even the wife who is pretty shy about commenting on these types of things agrees that it is hands down the best lube we have ever found. ... show more

What an incredible product!!!!!!!!!Trust me, I have tried many, many, many, many personal lubricants I was a little wary at first when I saw the price of the Lush Silicone Lubricant because: #1- It is SO much product for the price Ihave paid triple the amount for a quarter of the product. Sadly, some of those products were a waste of money. But Lush far exceeded my expectations. I am beyond pleased with the product. #2- It is soooooooo silky smooth. It is literally like liquid silk. I am of Filipino decent so I have very sensitive skin, especially in the private areas. So I have been burned, literally by other lubricants but can I just say, "WOW!!!!!!" this is, by far, hands down the BEST lube I have ever used! This is my new favorite lube!!!! I cannot express how delicate and lucious it feels. And you only need one or two pumps from it's convenient pump bottle (which locks) to keep you gliding to exctasy. There is no scent, it does not leave you sticky or tacky like other supposed "silicone" lubricants. I am usually not a reviewer unless the product is horrible. I am leaving this review because review and not just a 5 star rating because I base my purchases on other customer reviews and recommendations. So go ahead and read the other reviews but trust this "lube snob", you need not look any further. If you are looking for a Silicone personal lubricant, Lush is absolutely De-LUSH-ous. Of course, with it being silicone based, it does stay on your clothing or sheets, but that's the price one pays for sublime intimate pleasure. I hope this helps with your decision. Let's cut to the chase and avoid any euphemisms and acknowledge we know what this is being used for. Pushing that aside I have nothing but compliments for the lubricant itself; it lasts longer than most others, it requires little in quantity to become lubricated and no reactions from prolonged use. This stuff is great for what you want to do with it assuming you are ready to clean up the mess. As for the bad news, the bottle seems to be somewhat defective as the top spot has been the source of a major leakage from the bottle; I lost about a fifth of the contents of the bottle into the cap when the bottle titled over and upon taking the cap off the lubricant went everywhere. Onto me, the floor, the chair, my desk, my clothes, everything was covered and it was very frustrating to clean up (water is not good enough; you need a surfactant or copious amounts of IPA and an absorbing pad). Ever since then, the spout has been finicky and often I find it slick despite leaving it standing up. Besides the fact that the spout has given me problems, which admittedly could have been an anomalous defect, and the stuff is incredibly hard to clean up, I have nothing but praise for this product. ... show more

    • Valm vs Uberlube: A Fair Comparison

After literally trying everything in the market, we believe Uberlube and Valm are the top two silicone lubes in the market. Both products are very good, both are FDA 510(K) cleared, USA Made, and they almost have the same ingredients. Uberlube: dimethicone, dimethiconol, cyclomethicone, and vitamin E. Valm: dimethicone, dimethiconol and cyclopentasiloxane. As you can see, the main differences in the ingredients are that Uberlube adds vitamin E. Also, both have a slightly different silicone-based compounds. But when you read online, one compound is part of the other chemically speaking. They basically produce the same results. VERDICT Presentation/Marketing (Winner: Uberlube. The glass bottle is really beautiful and elegant. We keep one in one of our night stands all the time). Feel (Winner: both. For us, there is not a significant difference between the two products, even though Uberlube feels slightly oilier probably because of the vitamin E). Long-lasting (Winner: both. Really great products with amazing longevity). Price (Winner: Valm. Way better value per ounce, and more size options). Pump Mechanism (Winner: Valm for a couple of reasons. First, the pump actually has a normal spout that pushes the liquid away from the bottle to minimize spillage when you pump it out. This is an industry standard with most products that have pumps. Uberlube, on the other hand, does not have this type of spout, and the lube always ends up getting all over the bottle, which is glass and dangerously slippery. Terrible design on Uberlube’s part. Second, Valm provides a cap! You can easily travel with it.) Bottle design (Winner: Valm. Although the bottle is not as elegant as Uberlube’s, it is made of plastic, so you can travel with it. Uberlube’s glass bottle is just plain dangerous to travel with. The company forces you to buy their “travel” version, which is crazy overpriced for what it is. Another serious fail on Uberlube’s part). Overall Winner: Valm We still use both regularly, but navigate towards Valm more because the price, pump design, provided cap and portability. In third place comes Pjur, which we like a lot, but it is also expensive and has a terrible screw cap design. What’s going on with these lube companies and their caps??!!!!!! ... show more

This stuff is great for personal lube when you're solo, and just as amazing when you're having fun with someone else. It has an extremely smooth texture and seems slightly thicker than most other silicones I've tried, which I prefer. It's great for solo play--lasts a long time and feels completely smooth and warm. As far as penetration, I've only used it for anal (in both roles), which it's great for, but my experience here may not accurately apply to vaginal use (but I'd guess it's just as good). Compared against other silicones, it's one of the best for cleanup. It seems to wash off (with soap) a bit better, but more importantly, if I leave it on skin for awhile or have residue after just wiping off (not washing), it doesn't bother at all. It seems to be helpful to skin actually lol. As far as use with toys (like proper cured silicone that won't decompose from silicone lubes), this lube isn't too bad, but it seems to be slightly too thick and "dries up" quick than I'd like. I prefer ID Millennium Silicone for toys since it lasts longer and provides lower friction with the toy, but this Valm lube for everything else. (My comments are focused on the comparison to other silicone lubes I've tried... this stuff isn't comparable against water-based or hybrids. I strongly prefer pure silicones for everything because there's nothing worse than having to interrupt fun times to reapply lube that dried up, and this one doesn't disappoint.) ... show more
