Comes in a small, simple, but nice custom box. On the listing it says that the gold is 14k gold plated. However, there is a small card that comes in the box with the necklace that says it is gold filled and why that is beneficial to the gold. Also, if you go further down on the listing into the "About this Item", it states it has a newly upgraded thickened gold plating layer. By the way the gold is over Brass which is a good thing in my opinion. So, I am not sure if this cross is gold plated or gold filled. I would like it to be gold filled but gold plating is good enough not to cause me any rash that most metals cause me. So, I am o.k. with it either way. It is still hypoallergenic. The cross itself is a little bit larger than all the other gold-plated cross necklaces they have been selling that are similar. And this cross instead of having a block edge or sharp corners is rounded, and the cross bars are smooth and shiny. It makes it look prettier. It looks more feminine this way. In the center, there is five I think, small cubic zirconia. I can only tell that from the up-close picture they have of it on the listing otherwise I would think it was just one big cubic zirconia in the center. That is what it looks like to me. I like the chain too. I think rope chain are very pretty but can sometimes be a little on the kinky side, but they are a really pretty chain to have with a cross. They usually smooth back out pretty easily since the chain is just twisting/kinking a bit and not actually getting a knot. And the best part is this chain is 20 inches long. It is by far the longest one I have seen on all the cross necklaces I have gotten from Amazon. But also true to my other cross necklaces from Amazon is the cross cannot come off the chain. This is a bummer. In the past I have needed to take the cross off the chain so I could put on either a new jump ring or put the cross on a new chain but there was no way of doing this because the jump rings on the chain extender cannot slip through the bail on the cross. It is nice in the way that the cross will never accidentally come off your chain but bad that you can't put it on a new chain if needed. So, you have pros and cons here. But the necklace cost very little which is fantastic. So, if you have any problems, you can easily just buy another. They do have a phone number you can contact them with for any questions, but I can't find it on the listing page. You might have to go to their actual homepage to find it.

Sad because this is an absolutely beautiful necklace but after a little bit of wear and tear, it turned my neck green. Putting only down to four stars because it’s still so beautiful. I wish I could’ve worn it longer.
