The Valea white curtains were perfect for what they were intended for. While they give the appearance of burlap, they are an extremely soft material. I put them in a room that gets a ton of light, and while they are not heavy to block sun, they cut down on the glare tremendously while still allowing light to filter in. Exactly what I was looking for. I did need to iron them as they had the fold lined from being in package, but it just took a quick pass with the iron, and they do not wrinkle once they are hung. ... show more

Loved the color, and they definately look like burlap, however one of the panels had a horizontil dark streak going through it. Because I was using them in the garage, and the other 3 were fine, I didn't sent that one back. If not for that I would have given them a 5* rating.

I love these curtains, I bought the 84 inch to put in one of our bedroom and they look wonderful, they give enough privacy so I don't have a blind or a shade behind them but also give enough light when drawn. They wash up beautifully and just takes a cool iron for any wrinkles (which were almost non-existent after washing them and putting them in the dryer). I bought 4 panels and would buy them again if I had another window to use them at. I do wish they had a couple more colors to chose from, right now they only come n white and light brown, would like to see a dark brown. I highly recommend these curtains in any length. ... show more

My true rating for these curtains would be 3.5 stars if that was an option. The fabric is “simulated- burlap” polyester but actually looks better than that sounds. As long as no one feels the material they could pass as genuine burlap. I purchased 5 packages for a total of 10 panels and found 2 had imperfections of bunched up threads or broken threads. I was easily able to remedy those issues myself. The fabric is surprisingly soft and drapey so that you can use extra panels for fullness and privacy if necessary. Just using 2 panels per window was too sheer in my situation but looks fine if that’s not a concern. Overall they were okay and I kept the entire order. That’s actually a compliment because some China-made curtains that I’ve purchased in the past were horrible. As long as you don’t have expectations of perfect workmanship (including perfect hems) these are worth trying. UPDATE: I just received a new order for 24” curtains. Straight out of the package they were so crooked and misshapen that I was going to return them; however, I decided to try steam-ironing them first. That made all the difference because I was able to reshape them properly since the fabric was actually cut correctly. Just beware of using an extremely hot iron because you could end up with plastic goop melted on it! Just a reminder: these are polyester, not burlap! ... show more

The material is very slippery and hard to sew, but I (we) shortened them by 6 inches and added a seam to reduce rod pocket to 2". Causes the curtain to stick up above the rod. She made tiebacks with the left over material that was cut off. For a rod, I used 1 inch by 1/8" thick aluminum stock that I bent to size / fit. They are in my new cargo trailer / toyhauler conversion; two windows that are 20 x 30 inches. As other's point out, they are not lined and kind of thin and lots of light comes through, but since I have insulated panels to completely blackout the windows, this was not an issue. In fact, it is perfect when I have curtains closed there is light but no one can see in easily. I like the tan color, with an almost gold and kind of shiny appearance.
