I ordered 5 of these valances. I love the color. They are a little thin, but I was looking for something on the thinner side as I didn't want my window treatments to look or feel to heavy. My only complaint is that they aren't hemmed at the same length. I had to rearrange the valances on my windows because of this. My windows are on opposite walls, so no one will ever notice the slight difference in length. This is something buyers should keep in mind though if their windows are next to one another. This is above my kitchen sink, used more for privacy than anything else. Has a great linen weave. I'd say it is opaque, but allows the light just fine, I can't see my neighbors and they can't see me. yay. It's under a shelf, so not used as a valance. The valance arrived on time and was well packaged. I had a 62" width to cover, so I ordered 2. As others have experienced, the 2 valances were different in height by about a quarter inch, definitely noticeable. I had to play with them a bit, but was able to make them appear even. Also, the description says up to a 3.5" pocket rod, but it is only 2.5", and very tight at that. I was able to get it over my 2.5" flat rod, but it wasn't easy. Now that they're up, they do look nice. I think if you're buying one, you get a great value for the money. However, if buying more that will be hung together, you're taking a chance of being disappointed. ... show more
