So I have been assembling a lot of furniture lately and I have had a lot of experience putting together boxed furniture in the past. This was definitely a nicer unit to assemble than most. Everything was very clearly marked. I had more than enough of the hardware I needed (done intentionally), and it even came with a dual tip screwdriver in addition to the hex key. Assembly went very smoothly with a few minor things to look out for. The locking bolts stripped easily when I tried to screw in the center bolt. I swapped it out for another but the same thing started to happen. There must have been something wrong with the center piece. I also had to swap a hex screw out for another because the hole wasn’t deep enough for the hex to grip. When putting the bolts into the wood, the board started to chip and crack a little, but this was in the inside of the ‘cabinet’ area where you wouldn’t see it. The little baskets on the bottom are almost comically small. I don’t know what you would put in them. Maybe CD’s would fit, but no one owns CD’s anymore. They are cute and sturdy though. The shelf is solid but it feels like it has potential to be a tip hazzard. It did come with furniture mounting hardware. This is also exactly the size that I was looking for and fits into a small space beautifully. The media could not be loaded. I’ve been trying to find funny and inventive ways to display all of my books around my home, and this stand fits perfectly with my living room aesthetic! It is a great bookshelf, very sturdy, holds a fair number of books .I love the fact that it is unique and it completes my reading nook. Doesn’t take too much space and it was easy to assemble. Looks high quality and accommodates more than 20 books. I am very happy with the handwoven storage baskets and I use them to store things. Very cute! Please take a look at my photos to see the bookcase after it is put together. While it does take some time to get together- the directions are easy because each piece and part is labeled with a number (wood) or a letter (screws, nuts & bolts). The directions show you, in picture form, along with the letters and numbers, in steps, how they go together. There is also a screwdriver (see photos) and Allen wrench included to help you get the bookcase together and they are the only tools needed. While I did put bigger books on the tiers, I think the bookcase would be filled best with smaller paperbacks. But, it works out best for me to store my books, size-wise- as it takes up so much less space in my room than a wide bookcase. Because the size is in the length, it helps to take up less floor space. That was the main reason I got this bookcase. And it worked out as well as I hoped it would, taking up less space and omitting a bookcase which was dwarfing my room. The only thing that I wish was better were the baskets on the bottom. I used one of my books to gauge the size for those of you who can't tell from the photos (or the measurements) how big the basket space is. While the book is a larger paperback, you can tell that there isn't much space. But, I can still fit smaller electronics and tablets in them, as well as charging cords- which is what I plan to put there. My husband did put some of his Playstation games on the shelf- and while he was going to use the baskets to store them- because they fit improperly- he chose to put them below the bottom tiers of the shelf. And while they are not photographed with the upper tiers, you can see them on the bottom of the bookcase, right above the baskets where you still have quite a bit of storage space. If you need extra space in a room or your house- this is the perfect bookcase for you. Because that was why I got it and it worked out great. It should take about an hour or less to put together if you follow the directions, which are some of the best I have ever seen. Even though they only include photos- I love how all the parts and pieces are labeled and it is a big time saver and helpmate! Thanks to Vagusicc- who helped me have more space in my bedroom, great installation instructions, gave me the tools needed to put everything together- and a unique design of furniture that others will definitely comment on- when seen! ... show more

    • High Capacity Shelves with Very Small Boxes

This bookcase is well made and seems sturdy after assembly. The parts came well labeled and with everything you need to assemble. It also came with an anti-tip hardware which is like a zip-tie and plastic wall mount. Due to the nature of the bookshelf, I would recommend using the hardware especially on a carpeted floor. I'd also recommend stacking the shelf with most of the weight at the bottom since there's a greater risk of falling the more weight is on top (like any other shelf). Overall, it's a great little shelf. The boxes at the bottom are extremely small so we use them for our switch and DS games (without the cases). I had some trouble assembling this alone because there was a lot of moving the bookshelf around in order to properly put everything together. The instructions were simple and everything was labeled, which helped to make assembly easier. I really like the look of this shelf and it functions perfectly for holding lightweight things like games or movies. The baskets on the bottom are great for gaming peripherals but otherwise there is not much use for them, honestly I would've preferred a larger single drawer or just an open area instead. ... show more
