I love most of the V8 drink flavors, & am always looking for an extra source of energy - as well as trying to keep things as healthy as possible (low sugar, fat, etc), as I’m dragged kicking & a screaming into my (yuk) golden years!! Also, the orange, pineapple flavor was an extreme fav of mine from my distant childhood & I wondered if it was as great as I remembered! Yes! It still is! I loved the flavor & was surprisingly pleased with the amount of energy V8 delivered! It’s not up there with Monster drinks, (I usu drink at least 1 sugar free Monster per day, but sometimes need a bit more energy). I’m blessed to be healthier than I deserve to be, so I work at minimizing the ‘not-so-healthy’ things I ingest. V8, in my opinion, is a healthy addition to substitute for natural energy, when you really need to keep going for a little while longer - but I didn’t find myself wide-awake at 3am running laps around the house!! One day my friend gave me one of these and I really like them I love the taste of them I'm not really keen on the strawberry banana I gave this to my grandkids but they're still from V8 and V8 never fails.

    • A Favorite Energy Drink

First off, I have to acknowledge that V8 energy drinks are likely among the upper tier of energy drinks for me. This surprised me because I'm actually not much of a fan of other V8 products, however, the blend here is just really perfect and these are a great combination of top-notch flavor and solid energy boost. I do think it's stretching to call these "healthy." These are definitely healthier than most energy drinks because these come from both black and green tea. These offer 1 combined serving of veggies and fruit and are a great source of Vitamin B. These are non-GMO and have no artificial colors or flavors. These have 80mg of caffeine in each small can - right on par with most energy drinks. There's no sugar added and these have 60 calories or less per can. There are multiple flavor options. This one, orange/pineapple, is my favorite by far. In terms of value, these are somewhat modest. This has changed somewhat during the pandemic as the price has definitely increased and I've noticed some supply issues. You can also get these in a 12 or 24-pack. I do fine with these if I drink one early in the day as it gives me a definite boost to get my day started. The same is true if I drink one before wheeling a 5k event or some other physical activity. However, if I go beyond one I've noticed I tend to have digestive issues and despite being noted as "healthy" I've seen an increase in my own blood pressure. When I limit myself, I tend to be fine. So, for me, these are still a favorite but they're an energy drink I use in moderation for both physical and financial reasons. I'm hoping once the market normalizes that prices will stabilize, however, even with some modest concerns here I'd still say that these energy drinks are among the best tasting on the market and they are healthier and still within the mid-range of the price spectrum for energy drinks. My favorite. Try heating some up in the microwave in a mug for a minute or less. The flavor intensifies! This flavor is also wonderful with frozen fruit added instead of ice cubes.
