    • Decent glass, but rail attachment is somewhat poor
This is a quick review and I need to put this through its paces more, but here goes: too long; didn't read is fun scope for plinking would not trust it for accuracy under 6" or for hunting. The scope is not bad. The reticle and glass are very clear and the zoom and eye relief work as the should. I was able to sight it in (only 25 yards currently). It held a zero through 30 rounds of 7.62 but long term I need to keep checking the zero. The laser is a nice bonus and if adjust to match sight would show where you should be hitting. Not sure if it will hold zero long term. The bad and reason for only 3 stars is two-fold. One, the rail attachment came loose after only 2 shots. I'm not sure it will stay set because of its design. it is also very hard to torque down because the screw comes through where a large flathead screw driver would be used to tighten it down. I have already mangled these slots in the screws somewhat trying to get it to stay put for zeroing. Two, the listed price. There are a bunch of other beginner scopes from known good companies for similar or slightly higher prices. ... show more

For the price, you will easily zero in, and will hit a quarter at 100 yards all day. Even the laser will zero in just right.

    • Great Tactical Scope For Your Air Rifle
I ordered this scope for my Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisperer .177 air rifle. The scope it came with was alright, but this scope is something else, not only does it have a green laser but the scope illuminates in red and green the crosshairs and the brightness can be controlled. The scope has a good solid feel to it. It's a Picatinny rail mount and most air rifles have a Dovetail rail, so I had to get an adapter to attach it but once I mounted it, I could see the difference between optics and scopes was night and day. I really like the illuminated feature. I don't like the 2.4 10x40 zoom it's not as smooth as the one of the old scope. The instructions were no help when it came to installing the batteries for the laser and illuminator. I figured it out eventually, you have to remove the cover to the laser and the button battery goes into the side of the illuminator. Once they are in you are good to go. Like most scopes of this caliber, you can adjust for windage and elevation. I was able to hit my target with no issues. The it comes with covers for the the optics. Except for the poor instructions I'm happy with this scope and would recommend it for your air rifle. ... show more

I actually purchased the scope for my son's pellet gun. I didn't want to attach it to an actual gun but I thought having an attached to the pellet gun would be super helpful. Not to get into too much detail or controversy, we keep a lot of chickens on our property and unfortunately they attract a lot of predators. We have dogs to serve as a disincentive for those many predators but that's not a perfect solution all the time. We still have the occasional very determined predators and for that reason we have a pellet gun. They're clearly going to be nocturnal and I thought the scope would be so helpful. I think the range is great on the scope. To me it was a great addition to the pellet gun in general. For the price, this is a great scope! Highly recommend. ... show more

I tentatively placed this on an AR-15 and so far so good. It's maintained zero through initial testing. That said, I will likely move this to a smaller platform. I see others commenting that it's better suited for an air rifle and that may be the case.

    • It's no ACOG, but it could play one on TV.
I would hope that people buying optics in this price range would be well aware of what they're buying, but just in case it needs to be said, this is not a high-end, mega-durable, duty-grade optic. Sure, some high-end optics are legitimately overpriced, but not to the extent where you can expect the same level of quality for under a hundred bucks. What you can expect, however, is a reasonable show piece that actually has some level of features and performance. And that's exactly what this optic provides. PROS: It comes with a picatinny mount It comes with O-ring sealed turret caps it comes with batteries The laser is very bright The ocular lens diopter has enough adjustment that I was able to dial in a clear sight picture at both 2.5x and 10x and between (which has been a problem on other cheap scopes) Has adjustable turrets for windage/elevation The turrets seem relatively true (though they're not super crisp) It has preset adjustments for 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 yds (While I have not confirmed how accurate these are, they did actually move the reticle from a fixed point) The reticle can be illuminated It has a pretty decent range of eye relief CONS: Turrets don't feel that good. Not very tactile, and it's easy to lose count of your clicks Adjustment dial for magnification is pretty stiff Poor low-light performance Scope body is not very thick, and makes me question the durability (I was able to flex the case at the objective lens end pretty easily with my bare hands) Laser has no brightness adjustment Reticle illumination feature also illuminates the entire inner tube of the scope Reticle hash marks aren't particularly useful, especially when illuminated No parallax adjustment (and it's pretty rough at 10x) NOT Waterproof UUQ claims this scope is waterproof. I scoffed at that initially, but was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the turret caps had rubber seals. So I did what any reasonable person would do and chucked it in a bucket of water. Granted, I only left it there for about ten seconds, but I feel like if you dropped your rifle in a creek or something, that's about how long it'd take you to realize the severity of the situation, regret all your life's decisions leading up to that point, come to your senses, and scoop it out of the water. Much to my surprise, I could not detect any water intrusion into the scope tube, and all the electronics functioned properly afterwards. However, after letting the scope sit for 24 hours, there is noticeable fogging inside the tube to the point where it's not a clear sight-picture any more. I think this would make a solid Airsoft scope, LARP accessory, airgun or .22 plinking optic as long as "close enough" will do the job and you don't get it wet. Heck, I'll probably toss this onto my 10/22 the next time I go to the range and see how well it holds zero. If it survives that, maybe I'll see how it handles 5.56, but I'm not holding my breath. It probably won't be replacing any of my regular optics, but it did much better than I would have expected at this price point, apart from the "waterproof" claim. ... show more

    • It's ok for a JAG optic
If you are the type that doesn't mind the "just as good" moniker on most of your glass, this might be for you. Though I found this optic had a tough tone retaining zero, even when just sitting on a lead sled for a couple hours of shooting.
