I rated these fabulous hangers 1 star in case you, like me, read the 1 stars first. (And besides, there are plenty of 5 star reviews.) I lied. These hangers are perfect- nice & smooth so you don't snag clothes pulling them off, and yet they have hooks for your straps. They are also plenty durable! If you are one of the tiny minority who can only hang T-shirts, just send them back for a replacement set. Mine can handle anything I wish to hang. Just for yucks I hung 3 heavy coats on one hanger (see photo). Just a slight deflection. ... show more

I bought these specifically to fit in a wardrobe that is just a bit too narrow for the standard 16.5 hangers. They are advertised as 42 x 15.5 x 0.6 centimeter, what I got was standard sized hangers which are worthless to me! Not happy!

These hangars are thin and lightweight. They bend or flex easily and they are not as sturdy or rigid as the hangars with the vertical bar and hook connecting the top and bottom on each side. (Like the 7-pack at dollar store for $1). These should work well with lightweight t-shirts and strap tops. They may be too light for heavier shirts. These are just what they say they are and just what I wanted: they are white plastic hangers without the slots for straps. I don't like the slotted hangers. These are not the real thick hangers. I prefer the thick ones for pants, but I prefer these for shirts, etc.

    • Not too thick, not too thin.. Not too wide, not too slight.. For most in my closets just right.

I like the heavy duty tubular hangers for heavy weight items, the giant width hangers for larger sizes and bulky coats and the vinyl coated wire are the most space saving for every day shirts in fairly sturdy, mid-weight fabrics or men's regularly sized dress and sport shirts. These slim, lightweight tubular plastic hangers are the 'goldilocks' are just what I wanted for more lightweight sheer or fragile blouses or dresses, can work as well as the coated wire for most mid-weights too and may even be durable enough for some light weight jackets. A too thin wire hanger can crease or tear at the fabric or pull the seams apart on more delicate garments while a too thick tubular plastic is thicker than the garment itself, more durable than needed for such lightweights and wastes more rod space than necessary. The newer 'velvet' versions are thinner yet most have indents that can catch or leave bumps on a sheer garment. I'm also skeptical of how those will look and feel when the 'velvet' sprayed on particles sooner or later wear off... all over the clothing?... leaving sticky glue residues exposed on the hangers? Or the flimsy metals used in the hooks break off or flake away leaving.. chrome? rust? whatever shiny flecks of something all over clothes and closet?.. time will tell... Meanwhile, these are just right for most garments and I especially like that there's no rough edges or sharp spots from the plastic molding process to catch or snag anything. ... show more

    • Works fine but may be narrow for those with broad shoulders.

They do what they say. I can hang a heavy pair of flannel lined jeans from them with minor sagging on the crosspiece. The only shortcoming is that they are not as wide as a typical dry cleaner hanger. If you are a man with broad shoulders, the hanger will not be wide enough to reach the shoulder seam of your shirts. That will leave a stretch and pucker spot on the shoulder. Since I expect these to be poached by the three women in the family, I'll try to find wider hangers next time. ... show more

Picture and description do not show that they have notches. Even the drawing on the box do not show them. But they are there. I hate the way clothes get weird wrinkles where notches are. I just want regular hangers
