I know that sounds weird but lots of Scandinavian countries do this because when it’s really cold outside, it’s nice not to have to fight over covers with your bed mate or your dog ha ha, I wanted to make sure that our duvet covers were easy to wash. This duvet is so soft and easy to place comforters in. Super easy to wash. If you are looking for a thick duvet cover, this is not for you. But if you would like something to cover a comforter (redecorating without buying a complete comforter set), this is for you. It’s soft brushed polyester. It’s good and bad. It washed and dried easily. It was easy to put the down comforter in. I just want cotton, so I’m going to leave this cover on and buy a cotton cover to put over this one. Here is the plus of the polyester! Yesterday I was outside doing yard work and scratched my knee. It was so minor I didn’t notice it. I came in to get my keys and bushed my knee across the cover. I didn’t notice that either until the next day. Well guess what? Two damp baby wipes and the dried blood came 96% off. Cotton won’t do that. ... show more

I ordered this twin duvet cover to "salvage" an old 100% down comforter. The comforter has had many years of use and many washings, and the fabric was just beginning to tear in small areas. Every time I washed it, there was down all over the washer and dryer and laundry room. I was ready to throw it out, but it was still such a nice comforter that I hated to do that. Not many are 100% down anymore. Most have a lot of feathers. Then I realized that if I covered it with a duvet cover, I could extend the life of it by only having to wash the cover. I wish I had thought to do this years ago, but it was only used occasionally. This one fit perfectly, has a zipper (which I prefer over buttons, and is crisp feeling and smooth. Soft fabric with nice zipper and 4 corner secured knots. But the material is blended. It doesn’t feel like cool-touch. It’s okay but not the most comfortable. For the value, it’s a good price.
