I ordered this twin duvet cover to "salvage" an old 100% down comforter. The comforter has had many years of use and many washings, and the fabric was just beginning to tear in small areas. Every time I washed it, there was down all over the washer and dryer and laundry room. I was ready to throw it out, but it was still such a nice comforter that I hated to do that. Not many are 100% down anymore. Most have a lot of feathers. Then I realized that if I covered it with a duvet cover, I could extend the life of it by only having to wash the cover. I wish I had thought to do this years ago, but it was only used occasionally. This one fit perfectly, has a zipper (which I prefer over buttons, and is crisp feeling and smooth. Very nice product.

I read the reviews about the zipper so I was cautious when operating it. I had no issues with the zipper and believe that it will be fine if I am careful when using it. It’s a great color and matches the sheets I purchased from the same company. I wish my insert had more tie spaces along edges but I might add some myself later as the king size duvet cover has three on each side.

Since the cover isn't textured, it shows the hills and valleys of the duvet hiding beneath, but with a bit of fluffing, it hides it well enough. I am pretty picky with duvet covers, this one has corner ties on all four corners and in the middle section as well so it keeps very securely. The material is soft and for the black color I purchase it is not see through. My only real complaint is that the zipper is very large and white so it contrasts from the cover itself.
