Everything good to say about6 this scope It mounted right up it has real nice features the cope picks up good light with good clarity and a nice bright picture and is durable as I have dropped it so will say it has good durability and I except to I think it is a great value for the money be using this scope for a long time have it mounted on a 22 pellet rifle and it delivers Bulls eye accuracy at 70 yards the furthest out I have gone with it ... show more

  • Better Than A Nikon - You Won’t Be Disappointed
Size: 3-9x40mm Color: Black
I’ll never buy a Nikon scope again. I’ve had this for about two weeks and about 1,200 rounds and its holding zero as solid as it could possibly be. I use it for medium range varmint shooting from 300-700 yards and use a variety of different ammunition depending on the situation and the resettable zero on the turrets makes it easy to switch ammunition, adjust the POA to suit the ammunition then switch back and have zero exactly where it was. Clarity is good throughout the magnification range and the parallax and diopter adjustments provide a sharp image and better than average color separation at any distance. The illuminated reticle is nice in low light situations, but I think the number of colors is a little over the top. There are so many options that it’s difficult to get back to a previous setting without a lot of fiddling. It’s not a Leupold, and at the far end of my range (700 yards) an equivalent Leupold does provide a sharper sight picture, but this UTG is over $1,000 cheaper. It’s also not a Nikon, it’s on par with them in all respects and better in some. I really like this scope and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality optic at a really, really, really low price. ... show more

  • Quality scope with many nice features.
Size: 3-9x40mm Color: Black
I am very pleased with this scope. I attached this to my Benjamin NP Varmint air rifle in .22 caliber to replace the 4x32 Tasco scope that came with it. I have the same Tasco on a Ruger springer rifle in .177 caliber and while it is decent and fairly accurate, it is limited by the fact that it has only 4 power fixed magnification and a 32mm objective lens. This scope solves those problems and adds nice bonus features as well. First, it has variable magnification; 3-9 power (I wish I spent more and got the 4-12x40 version), so you can zoom in or out to your target. Let's face facts here; I am shooting an air rifle with this and my range is limited as compared to a firearm with real bullets versus pellets that have completely different ballistics. But it is nice to be able to zoom in closer for a clean head shot on something small like a pest squirrel, and I regularly make shots between 40 and 50 yards. Second, the 40mm objective trumps the 32mm in that it allows you to see more of your target area simply because it is physically bigger than the 32mm. This can help with target acquisition and also aids in allowing in more light, making for a brighter point of view. Two of the bonus features that I like on this scope are the parallax adjust, which if you don't know what that is you should Google it and read up on it. It's fairly interesting and explains why you could be missing sometimes, especially at distance. The second thing is the light up reticle which helps out in low light situations. You can pick between various degrees of brightness in either red or green, or if that's too minimalist for you there's 36 other color combos to pick from...so knock yourself out. Other things I like are turrets that have no caps to lose or screw on and off (they have locking rings that you hand tighten after you make an adjustment so as not to accidentally turn them again), and don't require a coin when making adjustments. And the scope came with flip up plastic lens protectors which you can take off if you want to simply by sliding them off. I would recommend this scope to anyone using an air rifle or small caliber firearm. ... show more

  • Great Scope For Magnum Springer or Gas Piston
Size: 3-9x40mm Color: Black
I bought this scope for my Hatsan Torpedo 155 .25, and It is everything that I wanted. Being that the gun is a magnum gas piston and has significant kick, it was important to get a scope that would hold up to the shock of the gun. After putting around 1500 pellets through it, I figured it had settled in pretty good, and it was time to get a scope for it. I chose the UTG Hunter, because it is rated for True Strength and seemed to be the scope of choice for a lot of people who own magnum springers and gas pistons. My first thought as I was un-packaging this beauty was 'it seems like a lot of scope for under $100.00.' So far, I am loving everything about it. It was easy to mount and easy to get zeroed in. It came with everything needed to mount to the gun. This was the first time that I have mounted and set up a scope. It was very easy and very straight forward. I drew a bullseye on a large piece of cardboard and fired 5 shots at approximately 25 yards. The first shot was about 1 foot under the bullseye and slightly right. I adjusted the scope up. My next shot was slightly high and about 2 inches right. I adjusted it slightly down and left. My next two shots hit left by an inch or so, and my fifth shot was in the bullseye. I have put over 200 pellets through my gun with the scope mounted, and it has stayed zeroed in nicely. I am able to get quarter sized groups at 50 yards (at 50 yards, shooting JSB Exact Kings Heavy, I had to aim approximately 4 inches high) and nickel sized groups at 25 yards. I shoot JSB Exact Kings mostly and also have good results with H&N Baracuda Hunter Extremes. I was able to hit soup cans at 30+ yards with pretty good consistency with open sights, but now I am able to zero in and group my shots. I also like have the illuminated dot option, although I have not played with that a lot yet. With this scope, I now have the small game hunter that I was looking for. Watch out Starlings. ... show more
