I’m honestly surprised at how expensive this piece of furniture is considering it came in 5 million pieces and was a pain to put together (took me just over 1.5 hrs). It’s so cute, but feels kind of like IKEA quality. The backboards are thin, somewhat flimsy pieces that you slide into place. Once fully assembled it is SLIGHTLY wobbly, not cheap, but def not sturdy either. I don’t think it’s worth this price even if it came fully assembled, but I def think it’s aesthetically pleasing and I’m using it in a nursery mostly for kids toys so it will work. ... show more

Overall great book shelf for books, toys, stuffed animals, etc.! We used this in nursery for all the above mentioned. However, it came with a 6” scratch down the side. Fortunately, this is the side we have away from public eye.

This is perfect for our nursery! I’m used to putting things together, so the directions and assembly were fairly easy for me. Took maybe 45 mins to put together. Would definitely recommend!

This shelf would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the smell. I bought this back in January of this year and upon unboxing, there was a strong chemical-like smell that came from the wood. Aired it out for a few days, still a strong smell. For months you could still smell it, now in mid-April you can still smell a hint of it but not nearly as much like from date of purchase to about mid-March. Something wrong with that. Oh and putting it together? ZERO stars, this was a painfully long process to put together and the instructions while detailed don’t do a very good job of explaining what piece is what - especially since half the time furniture pieces sold on Amazon have the instructions with all these numbered/lettered pieces but have no labels on any of the actual pieces themselves. It’s a nice shelf but if it smells, probably consider returning it, or leaving it outside for two months. ... show more

Easy to assemble, I put it together by myself. Very well packaged, contrary to many comments, the bookshelf arrived in perfect condition, and the quality is very good for the price. However, it's true that the wood has a relatively strong smell, but I think it's the same for IKEA furniture. It always fades away after a few days. Overall, I'm very happy. ... show more
