We've tried oh-so-many brands of charge cables, only to have batteries fried and/or cables die. Other than Apple-brand cables, these are the ONLY cables that don't destroy our equipment and last forever. DEFINITELY WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY!

This is NOT a paid/sponsored review, I purchased this item on my own. After a year of usage, I can say it's a great cable for charging and syncing! (A little about myself, I own lots of other Anker products from micro USB, USB-C, portable battery banks, car chargers, micro USB to USB type C adapters, etc.) As for durability, it's questionable. The rubber/silicone sleeving at the neck where the USB-C and braided cable are connected started to tear and come apart. I included an image of where mine started to come apart. There are no exposed wires when this initially happens, but I can't say the wires won't eventually be exposed after many more times of normal usage and wear. The great part is this is an Anker product, and they covered this with a lifetime warranty (I think all of their products comes with a lifetime warranty?). And they are awesome at their customer service and warranty claims (via their website). I submitted my claim with photo evidence and proof of purchase from Amazon, and within a few business days I received a warm response and a replacement cable sent to me. My original was in silver and they were out of stock (maybe it was due to this durability issue, I'm not sure), so they asked me if I wanted the red or grey version instead. I said yes to the grey, and they sent be a BETTER replacement. It has a solid and less "fragile" neck connection between the USB type C connector and braided cable. At this point, I can recommend this cable BECAUSE it's backed by Anker, their customer service, and warranty policy. In general, I feel like I can trust any Anker product, and that the brand will help resolve any issues concerning the quality and normal usage of their products. ... show more
