    • iPhone 12 Pro > Fiio BTR5 with one cable. It just works
It frustrates me that most external USB C DACs can’t plug directly into the iPhone with the provided lightning to USB cable. Before I had to go lightning to USB A (female) then male USB A to USB C just to get my Fiio BTR5 to output to my HD 6XX with hifi signal and take full advantage of mobile lossless streaming services. But the extra mess quickly became a hassle. This cable removes the mess in between and allows me to go iPhone to BTR5 in one cable with high quality signals, the way God intended. I haven’t tried to use it to charge my iPhone and don’t plan to, will be treating this purely as an audio accessory. I would recommend if you want to simplify your mobile hifi setup. ... show more

    • Works with an iPhone and a Fiio BTR5
I purchased this solely for running my iPhone into a Fiio BTR5, for higher fidelity listening (Since iPhone's only support AAC for wireless codecs). Works perfectly fine as an OTG cable, and I am able to listen to much higher bit rates, compared to compressed AAC via Bluetooth.

    • Only lasted five months... works with a DAC > iPhone while it lasts.
I'd been looking for a replacement USB-C to Lightning cable as a replacement for the Ali Express item I purchased with a Shanling UA2 DAC last year. The Shanling gives great audio output, but appears not to be shielded and hence is subject to interference from the iPhone itself. In order to try and eliminate this I purchased this meenova cable to see whether it was the cable instead which was picking up interference. The short answer is no - this is demonstrated by moving the Shanling closer to, and further away from, the iPhone (interference varies accordingly.) This cable worked fine with light use for just over four months. However, in the last two days the Shanling has stopped being recognized by the iPhone. I can only assume it's the cable as the connector doesn't fit as snugly as it first did. I have since moved back to the original ALI cable and fixed the connection issue. This meenova cable only comes with a three month replacement warranty, so I'm S.O.L. wrt a replacement. Can't recommend this with such poor build quality. ... show more

Great little cable that works. Plays well with my iPhone 8 Plus and my Hidizs S9 Pro. Simplifies carrying around the DAC while connected to my phone. Also figured out that I can charge my iPhone while listening to music with use of an inductive charger, otherwise the S9 Pro does suck the phone dry.

    • Doesn't work with Creative SXFI Amp
Unfortunately, this doesn't work with the Creative SXFI Amp. If I plug it in without any headphones plugged in, I'm able to control the music and volume with the amp, but as soon as I plug in headphones it stops working. Presumably, it draws too much power, but I'm not sure. I tested with 250 Ohm Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones (which I would have been surprised to see working) and with cheap, old, wired Apple earbuds. The SXFI amp is not really recommended for use with iPhone but Creative themselves say it works if you use the Apple camera kit cable and then a conversion cable to USB C. I was hopeful that this little cable would save me that mess. I'm still rating it 3 stars since this product page didn't list the amp as supported and it "half" works - albeit not enough to be useful. They can add the Creative SXFI Amp to the unsupported amps list to save others the hassle of testing it. ... show more

    • Works great, will it last?
It works great with my Qudelix 5k. Much more convenient than the Apple Camera Connection Kit dongle. One cable is all you need. On the down side, it does not seem like it would be a very durable cable, but we’ll see. By the way, I was curious so I tried to use this cable as a usb-c charger for my iPhone. That doesn’t work. And it’s a very short cable anyway so you probably wouldn’t want to. ... show more

If you're looking for something to use with the Qudelix-5K, you found it. Works perfectly every time with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Qudelix-5K. Consistent connection every time, no dropouts and confirmation that the connectivity is via USB in the Qudelix app. Its just a shame they didn't include this type of cable with the unit to begin with. ... show more

Bought this to connect a USB-c DAC (qudelix k5) to my iphone. Very much like the connector that comes with the DAC, but no need for the confounded c-lightning adapter. Works without issue, sounds great.
