I got this because I was tired of a power strip with 5 charging blocks on it. For one I’m sure it’s not safe and two people at my home kept taking them. I tested it and if you have multiple devices charging It rotates and tells you the amps for each one. I haven’t seen it higher than 1.4a but I don’t have fast charge items. There is a button. Push once and it gets bright, twice for the the 1 hour timer, three times for 2 hours and so on until 4 hours. Not sure what a timer is good for but it’s there if you use it to power a device rather than charge. The overall design is nice, figure 8 power cable no hard edges so it would slip into a bag pocket pretty easy. Anti slip is two half circle pads on each side (rounded ends) and holds well. Only thing about the display I don’t like or bothers me is the word “OUT PUT” next to the 5.2v , my brain can’t process the word output as two works. I will update this post as time goes on. Thanks

PROS: Compact, Timer to prevent overcharge, 8 USB ports CONS: My Cell phone seems to rapid charge faster with it's supplied charger, this may be a phone issue though. I use it mainly to charge my Wireless headset for my computer, and other USB charged devices.

to be fair, in my experience, finding a "fast charger" that is actually a fast charger is a crapshoot. i've tried to have all my chargers be high speed, but hardly any product actually does it. I mean, this station displays the charging speed so you can see the voltage or whatever, and the usb port in my truck also has a display and is much faster. BUT! it's a great little multi-item charging station, and if you have things that are tricky to charge like my Playstation controllers, the display is nice to be able to to fiddle around until you're sure it's charging.

Purchased this for the timer function (I'm somewhat paranoid about overcharging my devices that have non-replaceable batteries). The good: - Solid unit, doesn't feel cheap - Timer concept is great but see below The bad: - Larger than it seems like it needs to be - There is only ONE timer - ports cannot be timed individually - Timer has only hour resolution - you can't charge for, say, 30 or 90 minutes - With more than one device connected, the display got pretty glitchy - The worst problems is that the unit seems to continuously cycle power on the ports, which messes with some of my devices It would be nice if the timer function was improved - to provide better than full hour resolution, and also to give the option to stop charging after a given amount of power added, ie: "charge port 5 until 2AH is added". Also would be a plus to allow setting max charge current per port. Unfortunately I had to return it because of the power cycle issue. If there's ever a version 2.0 that fixes the problems above, I'm all in!

Great charger! Doesn’t overcharge and is can be used just plug n play. It eve puts a longer lasting charge on my iPhone 7 which is notorious for “eating” batteries. We love it! Highly recommended!
