I lost my old headphone/charger adapter on a trip, so I picked up this one to replace it. First off, the price is fantastic, as I wanna say it was $10 cheaper than the one I lost. Second, this one is smaller and less bulky, so it's way easier to travel with. Third, it adds a little bit of punch to the bass, so the DAC in there must be pretty good. My only con on it, and it's why I went 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the headphone jack is _super_ tight. Like, I kinda had to struggle to get my headphones plugged in. But hey, once they're in, they're not gonna come out, so that's a positive. Overall, once everything is all hooked up, it plays great through the headphones and keeps on charging. This is a really nice adapter, and if you travel a bunch and need to charge while jamming out on your flight, I highly recommend this one. ... show more

    • It's expensive and likely not worth it.
I got into a situation where I wanted to listen to an audiobook, but my phone needed be changed for that to happen, but my earbuds are usb-c .. I got irritated and just ordered the first dual adapter I found to let me charge and listen at the same time. 1) When charging alone - it is a rapid charge - as expected. 2) When listening to headphones - the audio doesn't seem to suffer much loss in quality - as expected. 3) When charging AND listening - there is obvious interference and a very annoying hum can be heard behind the audiobook/music. It is really annoying. Faint enough to maybe not hear with loud music, loud enough to bother you with normal voice audio. This is bad. So - this works. But doesn't work well when it is used as intended. I can use it as a charger or listening adapter in isolation and all will be fine, but using it together may drive me insane. And that need is the ONLY reason I paid the premium price for this adapter instead of the $4 for just an adapter. ... show more

Works out of the box, good audio quality. I use this to plug my phone into the aux port on my car stereo. I cannot use voice commands while the dongle is plugged in; I guess it always assumes whatever is connected has a microphone. Kind of inconvenient while driving. It's still nice to jam out while I charge though. I have no real reason to send this back, but I will probably not buy another one if this breaks. I really thought the dongle would be smart enough to figure out whether or not a microphone is plugged in, like Google's 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. Guess I'll have to spend more money next time. ... show more

It's a simple device that allows you to plug both earphone and charging cable into the Pixel3 at the same time. In the photograph, the phone is not shown because I used it to take the picture.. Sound quality is generally not affected, but if the music/audio should turn off (I have a 2-hour sleep on mine), I hear some electronic white noise coming through my earbuds, which goes away if I disconnect the charging cable. So, there is some minor electronic interference, but I do not notice it when the audio is playing. Also, the only other consideration is that the device gets warm at times, so be sure to keep it in the open. I stuffed it under my pillow, along with the phone, while I was listening, and noted an elevated temperature of the unit when I picke it up. It was not HOT to the touch, just warm, and it cooled off quickly when out in the open again. It does not heat up in the open. This one was not my least expensive choice, not the most expensive. I chose this one because it is white, which is the color of the Galaxy earphone dongle, and I am just matching colors. I would recommend this adaptor. ... show more

this changes the signal coming from the charger allowing and old usb charger using a usb to usb-c cable to rapid charge on google pixel phones. i didn't know that going into it but its a nice added bonus. allows me to use my old headphones on my google pixel 3 and allows me to hook to AUX in my work truck. very happy with purchase ... show more

It does exactly what it says it will do. The connection is snug, not tight or difficult. It’s a simple straightforward device that works well. it seemed to be priced in line with the going rate for this kind of thing. The seller packaged it well and arrived in a timely manner. I am considering a more expanded connector for other use and would surely consider this seller again. UPDATE: too late to return..out the $. Soon developed electronic hum while using headphones. Today, headphones won’t work if power cord is plugged in. Headphones won’t work at all if iPad turned from landscape to portrait mode. Very disappointed. Note: I consider this a product/mfg , not a vender problem. Maybe it was a ‘one of,’ but I won’t order the same thing again. ... show more

What I use product for: recently acquired a Pixel 3 XL mobile device. It drains it battery a lot more quickly than the previous device I had been using … as a result I’ve developed the habit of always attaching it to charging cable when I can. Then, I am accustomed to using a headset for phone conversations. I hadn’t realized the 3 XL didn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack until the first time I went to connect the headset for a conversation and couldn’t. So I use this product for simultaneously charging the 3 XL and using a headset with it. I had one bad start where I didn’t read the 3 XL specs for comprehension and purchased a simply Y cable; this cable (of course) did not support a digital headset. Amazon was great about my returning it. So I dug in and read about devices tried a couple – with not-so-great results and finally settled on this X-Kim device. Very satisfied: • Really really good audio quality. • I’m using it with our Roku headset to listen to Audible audio, movies, news video, etc. – everyone in my family likes this simple Roku headset the best and we keep purchasing them. • Quality build • Cabling fits snugly and doesn’t work its way loose • Great value • Anyone reading this review here on Amazon knows that it will be easy to return the device if it doesn’t work for them • If you’re looking for USB C Audio/Charge Adapter I recommend that you give this unit a try ... show more
