I'm so thrilled I found these canvas panels! My daughter asked for lots of paint, brushes, and canvas so she can start painting some at home after attending multiple painting parties. She absolutely loves it. However, at 8 years old I don't want to invest a ton of money into canvas when she's most likely going to go through it rather quickly. I checked out Michael's, and their price isn't terrible as long as you have a 40% off coupon, but all I could find there were the wrapped canvas in sets of 10 which came out to about the same price as these. I do like the wrapped canvas, but I wanted to have some of the panels since they take up less room (and, again, my kid is going to through tons of them!). I also like that with the panels I have the option to put them in a frame if I wanted to go that route. These hang really easily and nicely. My daughter absolutely loves decorating her room and bathroom with her own masterpieces, and I love that she's spending her free time being creative. Now I'm certainly not an expert on these things, so I'm sure there are other canvas choices that are higher quality, but I would imagine for the average person these would be a great choice. And for the price you can't beat it! I will definitely buy these again and may even try a different size next time. ... show more

I was so glad when I found this canvas set because they are so cheap and you get a lot! That was important for me because I'm just starting to use canvas for little crafts here and there. I'm not the best painter or artist so I didn't want to spend much on them since I figured I might mess a few up! While I'm not well experienced with different canvases, these are great! They're held together well, are sturdy, and easy to paint on. I've done a few prints now and I'm going to hang them with a ribbon. Couldn't be easier and they're so cheap I don't feel bad when I mess up (I've only had to toss one but thankfully it didn't bother me as much since I hadn't spent a lot on it.) I've not seen these for a better price and I'll be getting more for the other drawings and crafts I want to try! ... show more

I ordered these so I could work on my g’daughter’s gift. She turned 7 today and loves wolves. The canvas proved to work out just fine. I used a paint pouring technique glued the canvas to a wood frame which I had painted with chalk paint & glued on the wolf. I had read some reviews that said people were having trouble with the canvas ‘bowing’ or buckling under the weight of the wet paint or paint seeping through to the back. I had none of these issues! The first canvas I tried, I sprayed a urethane sealer on both front & back just in case. Didn’t like the original colors so did a second one. The end result had no urethane, just paint. I’ll add her name to the top in a nice font & hang it on her wall. She is so happy with it! ... show more

    • Good for regular acrylic paintings but not for poured paintings.

These are fine if you do not need to use them with a lot of paint for a two or three step painting. Not really good for poured paintings even with extra gesso applied as they warp or curl up. But they work well for one coat painting especially for kids who just want to paint for fun. Did not work for what I had hoped to use them for as the cardboard backing got soft from too much moisture from my poured paintings. Took a long time to dry and then they had to be put into a frame to flatten they out again. Not a product problem as much as what I had hoped to use them for. ... show more

These canvases are a GREAT value! I have bought them twice now. I bought the first set for a church function where we had children from age 2 through 13 (even one adult) paint on them for an activity, and they all LOVED it. One could have been hung up as a display picture! I just bought another set because my kids had so much fun with it. It's a great afternoon activity, good for birthday or holiday gifts for grandparents, parents, or friends, and such a great value. I will buy these again! Just a note: The canvases I got were individually wrapped in addition to being in the package, so if you use them with small children, be sure to open them all ahead of time so it doesn't take so long getting started. ... show more

These canvas boards are GREAT for multi-media projects!!! Acrylic paint sits very well, even with several layers! I use mine to Create story boards for my grandchildren to have as keepsakes to mark a trip, birthday, significant event and wedding collage as well as birth collages. The boards are sturdy enough to mount a variety of items on them and then hang with confidence that they will remain in tack over time. Mixed media articles are easy to mount to display concepts for junior high science projects etc. I do calligraphy on mine to customize for those special occasions such as anniversaries or retirement parties! These are much more substantial than poster boards. And you have excellent stability of canvas frames without the added weight of the frame. ... show more
