I had been searching for something like this for a while. My 5yo is too big for traditional infant type bike seats, but There are still times I want to bike without having to worry about her tiring quickly or going slow on her own bike. This works really well. There are similar products but most only fit mountain bikes, this product works well on my beach cruiser. I worried it would be hard to balance or pedal since she is a bigger kid but it was a comfortable ride for both of us. My thighs do rub against her hips while I pedal but it’s nothing uncomfortable. The install was a little confusing to me because the written instructions are not very detailed, but they have an instal video which was much easier. Once I understood how it attached it was very easy to put on, and would be simple to remove and replace as needed. Very happy with this purchase. This has given us extra freedom to bike further and it’s been a lot of fun.

This was easy to install, and for the most part, it’s comfortable to ride. I use it with my 2yr, and she enjoys the rides. Because the child’s seat is positioned closer towards the bike’s seat, I have to ride with my legs in a tad bit “wider” (open) position to prevent clashing with my daughter body as I peddle, thus peddling can be a little awkward at first as you focus on balance, center of gravity, etc. On the other hand, having the child’s seat position close to the bike’s seat gives a little more piece of mind as the child feels a bit more security riding between you. Also, due to the height/position of my bike’s top horizitonal beam (which this unit will rest upon), my daughter sits a bit higher especially when you factor in her helmet, so again it can be a little awkward leaning over to grab the handle bars with child position up high. That’s no fault of the child seat, but something to consider based on your specific bike type/style/form. My only real gripe has to with the foot mounts (where the child rests their feet). I wish those where a bit larger/wider so the child could get a better foot hold. Also, because they are positioned higher up, I’m not sure how long I’d be able to use this device (age limited) as I could see using this with a taller kid would probably be a bit uncomfortable having their legs/knees bent and perhaps feeling squashed. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend. PS, the initial ride can be a bit intimidating. A family member asked “where’s the seatbelt”...lol. Once you get into a good ride stride with solid momentum, things just work. However, you should still be aware of your child’s legs at all times and mindful of their seating position including watching to ensure their hands grip the included vertical bar post.

. With the excellent engineering and portability of model 021, if God placed (or may place) you as a steward over children you must have at least one unit in your Ebike/bicycle Go Bag kit. You never know when you will be used to get a child out of harm's way! TIPS: 1. Use a dab of Blue Loctite on all the hex screws to prevent vibration loosening and loss. 2. Keep an adult and child body harness (tethering) in your Go Bag in case the child gets sleepy or tired during a bug out ride. (One product on these Amazon pages is: Jolik Child Motorcycle Safety Harness Reflective Strip with 4-in-1 Buckle, Breathable Material) The product is excellently built, and the vendor is most supportive. I absolutely LOVE this seat! I got this for my 2.5 year old. My 4.5 year old is in the picture and he is 47lbs. They both love it! This is perfect now that the older can bike without training wheels. We all get out for rides as often as we can. My little one will eat snacks and chatter the entire time. He feels secure and even though your knees need to go a little wide, it is not uncomfortable. Fast to set up. Only thing I'd change is to get the one that has the foot cages instead of just the bars. 2 months and over 50 miles with this seat.

The design of this seat isn't quite right for american bikes. It makes me a little nervous that the shape of the back bolt does not fit the angle of my seat post. With that being said, I've put in about 70 miles with my son so far and things have worked well. Even after the bike has fallen over a few times the seat seems quite secure. I like that this design puts the child in front of you - it's better for balance and makes for a more fun ride for your kid. I think this seat is worth it, even more than the seats that sit on a rack behind you (which we outgrew). I think the back rack seat is better for a child under 2 but this seat is really great for older kids.
