  • Does a great job of cleaning coffee pots.
We tried the 'brew through' method and it did not work well as the tablet did not fully dissolve. Here is how we do it: Put on the kettle and get the water boiling. Put one tablet into the coffee pot. Pour the boiling hot water into the coffee pot. Put on the top and wait 30 minutes. Pour out and thoroughly rinse the coffee pot. If it was especially dirty, you may need to repeat the process. As we use filtered water to brew, there is no problem with build up in the basket. ... show more

  • Saves stained stainless mugs!!
I'm sure I'm mis-using it slightly, in that my dilution ratio is... not diluted enough, but OMG, folks, did you ever get that stank and palor in your coffee mug that dish soap just can't address? This stuff is for you. Fantastic food industry secret. You'll be amazed how clean your mugs get if you leave a tablet soaking in water overnight. ... show more

  • Most likely to be the best
Great stuff, will clean your coffee canister like it was new. A tip for use the longer you leave it sitting in the canister at normal coffee's temperature the more affective the cleaner will be. I usually leave mine in for 6-7hrs.

  • Unbelievably Amazing
The media could not be loaded. I have been using these for years and always forget to write a review with photos and videos. My girlfriend kept saying "we don't need those you can just do (insert some random home concoction here) and it will work just fine. No. I ordered these and while they were on the way, we attempted two other ways to clean. Neither one did anything, and I made sure to show how nothing was cleaned during and after pouring out the solution. Then these showed up and I couldn't wait. I boiled 10 cups of water and dropped in two tablets. I let them disintegrate into a Gatorade looking liquid, dumped the water into the container and turned on the coffee maker. After it ran through I let it sit for about 5 minutes, swirled it a few times, and dumped it out. Of course making sure to force my girlfriend to watch as I poured it out so she could witness the amazingness that is these cleaning tablets. I made sure to take before and after photos, as well as a video showing the solution being poured out. If you want a cleaning solution DO NOT HESITATE, JUST BUY THESE IMMEDIATELY. You will not be let down! ... show more

  • Finally found a solution to effortless deep cleaning of Stanley thermos and Yeti tumblers
I've used my giant Stanley 2 quart thermos (old school 30oz version with the 1"-1.5" diameter inlet) for over a year daily at a remote worksite for english tea with creamer. Even though I rinsed it out every day with soap and water the buildup and coating inside kept getting worse and worse and smelled funky from the encrusted creamer/tea stains acruing from the tea. I tried everything I read about over the past few months - industrial strength vinegar overnight, baking soda and boiling water, baking soda/vinegar, dishwasher soap and boiling water, even laundry detergent and tide pods. Nothing worked and barely anything came out other than some slightly discolored water. I tried these as a last resort to just buying a new thermos and put in a tablet with boiling water and just enough room for thermal expansion (it does bubble a little bit while it dissolves) before capping the thermos and left it to sit overnight. I was disappointed once again as I saw the super clear water pour out, and then crazy excited/disgusted to see a 1000 pieces and chunks of the film buildup start pouring out at the end. I finally could see into the bottom of the stainless steel thermos with normal kitchen lights and half the residue was gone in splotchy areas. I did 2 more treatments the same way and finally got every last bit of it out and it is absolutely spotless inside. Today as I write this is the first time in almost a year I haven't smelled the funk as I pour my tea at work and it's incredible. I used it on my yeti tumblers and they came out spotless from the 3 month-old coffee stains in 1 go and it is ridiculous the magic these tablets do to just effortlessly remove stains that used to take me a good 15 minutes to scrub out of those tumblers. ... show more

  • Great replacement for the packets
I have a Moccamaster coffee maker that I try to tend to carefully. Part of that is cleaning out the coffee residuetthat can form inside of the metal carafe. For years I used the packets, but within the past year the cost on those has really increased. I tried a couple of other brands for a few months with OK results. BUT THEN I found the Urnex tabs. They worked beautifully. I dissolved a tab in a water jug, poured that water into my reservoir, ran it for a cycle, let it sit in the carafe and PRESTO, the residue came out with little exertion on my part. It's just so satisfying to see a clean carafe at the end ... show more

  • Works perfectly!
Pros: It cleans coffee stains extremely well. Not caustic or extremely hazardous. After use a good rinsing is all that is needed. It's very economical. There's 120 tablets in the container and cleaning is only needed every few weeks. Cons: None, unless you need something that works in 10 minutes. I bought these to clean a narrow-mouthed steel thermos we use daily for brewed coffee. In the past I used another cleaner which is no longer available, and have been looking for another cleaning agent for a couple of years. In the meantime, the inside of the thermos had turned black from accumulated stains and deposits. Nothing I have tried cleaned it well. I avoided a couple of products that may have worked but were covered with warnings strong enough to encourage one to wear a hazmat suit because they were so caustic and poisonous. This stuff will "irritate the skin and eyes" but is far less toxic, so I thought it was worth a shot. Before bed I filled the thermos with very hot water, leaving a little space at the top, and dropped in one tablet. After a few minutes I shook the contents thoroughly, then topped off the thermos and sealed the lid. The next morning I poured out an ugly brown stew. After rinsing the thermos thoroughly, I found the inside to be perfectly clean, except for a little remaining buildup around a small rim at the bottom. A little brushing would likely have removed that bit. I'll do that next time. Highly recommended! ... show more
