I’ve been using the color 1993 for years and I love it. The pink-brown tone is a couple shades darker than my lip color but blends perfectly when paired with a lip gloss. It goes on smoothly and, like UD’s eyeliners, doesn’t smudge. I have very pale skin and this doesn’t make me look vampy - I wear it for office makeup every day. Since it’s so neutral I think it could be good on any skin tone. I have somewhat thin lips and this makes them look fuller and more defined. I add a clear plumping lip gloss for a natural look and a darker lipstick or stain for a going out look. I will note I keep it in my purse as I have to re-apply it throughout the day after eating, but I prefer having to re-apply over using something that’s hard to take off if you make a mistake. ... show more

This color is a lovely deep red. It’s a full size pencil with all the quality that one expects from this company. I use it to line and fill in my lips. I prefer darker colors despite my very fair complexion (blond, blue eyes) and this color fits the bill.

Love the results of this pencil application however, it needs to be sharpened often and it is a nightmare to attempt to sharpen. No info included on how or what is the best/appropriate sharpener to use. I’ve tried several different sharpeners of my own and the pencil continues to break off in chunks etc.. ... show more

I think a good lip liner should come with a sharpener, or baring that work with another sharpener. This was expensive and did neither. The liner itself is good, but I won't be using it or taking it anywhere.
