I was replacing a bunch of other broken parts of our vacuum, and the original attachment broke. Figured I'd try this one. Despite it being the "upgraded" design, it's still pretty useless. Even the slightest bit of contact with fabric stops the brush from spinning (and yes, our vacuum has enough suction). The basic brush attachment works ten times as well as this over-complicated thing. It does seem well-made, and costs a bit less than the official version. But I'd say skip it.

Build quality and everything from the plastic thickness to the weight feels like an OEM Bissell attachment. The plastic roller head really does help cut down on hair tangling, which is the worst part about these turbo head attachments. That said, this is completely air-driven. Anything beyond light pressure will stop the brush from rolling immediately and for things like getting embedded dirt out of my car carpeting, I was better off just using the crevice nozzle to agitate the carpet. I imagine that if this could be connected to my giant shop vac that I could force enough air through to really get it spinning without interruption. For around $15, it's priced fairly to replace the stock turbo brush if you lost the original one. It isn't going to work anywhere even close to as well as a motorized one though and will have all of the same limitations as any air-driven brush.

I have a long-hair calico cat. She sheds a lot, even when brushed daily. She has favorite sitting spots on the sofas and she always leaves a nest of fur. I had such high hopes for this vacuum attachment but I was left disappointed. I own an upright Bissell Pet Reach with the attachment for pet hair. I use it on the sofa fabrics, it worked wonders until the flat rubber/silicone “brushes” on the inside of the attachment began to melt and over time it stopped reaching the surface being cleaned. Unfortunately, Bissell makes it incredibly difficult to buy/replace just the pet hair cleaner attachment, which is why I was excited to give this attachment a try. One positive for this upgraded attachment is the added bristle brushes. In theory, the added bristles would help spread the work load and hopefully allow the silicone brush parts to last longer. I quickly discovered that the belt that rotates the brushes isn’t taut enough. I tried to use it at different angles but the attachment didn’t collect any hair at all. The brush rotation stops with the slightest amount of pressure, so I can’t use it on my fabric sofas. It seems to work fine on flat, even surfaces, like the floor, but that isn’t what I need it for. I’d suggest the company reconfigure the belt strength and tautness to make this pet hair cleaner attachment a hit so it’s worth the listed price.

This vacuum brush looks sturdy, with multiple brushes, and comes with a handy mini-brush to clean it after use. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with my vacuum. I don't blame the product, as my vacuum was not one of those listed as being compatible. I had tried a brush specifically for my vacuum by another manufacturer/seller that was completely ineffective, so I thought I would try this one and hope it would work. The opening that connects to the vacuum hose is to small, so it won't stay in. I'm not giving up, though, and hope I can find an adapter, because this brush looks like it will really do the job. Just make your vacuum is one of those it's advertised to fit.

Suction powered so works well, even on other brands of vacuum as long as it adapts to the hose diameter. Does really well for cat hair, and includes the hair removal tool -- something I never knew I needed until I had one. the clear top separates from the rest of the unit for easy cleaning. Turn the collar closest to the hose end 180 degrees and it just lifts off. beater bar has brushes as well as squeegee sort of things for pulling up pet hair. Overall I think this is a great unit.

I am not impressed with this vacuum attachment. It's not a standard size either, so the common adapters you can buy for "universal" attachments won't work on this. There are two more offenders of the design of this brush: 1) The depth of contact makes it so that the bristles really don't make much contact with the surface you're vacuuming. This is really just for upholstery that you can hold taut and not let it completely suck it in and clog the airflow and prevent it from spinning at all. 2) The tolerance of the removable pieces are not tight enough. The design allows you to take it apart for cleaning (you twist the grey piece to the unlock position, which allows you to flip the clear lid off). The problem is where the two halves meet at the head of the brush -- there's a visible gap at the seams, creating extra air leaks that I suspect are weakening the suction.

This is a well built replacement brush. Unfortunately just like the original, this one also bogs down very easily since it is powered by air so it is only usable on very low pile carpets or completely flat surfaces. I was also unable to use it on bedding since the bedding gets sucked up and contours to the head of the brush so the airflow is disrupted. When it is not picking up anything I can hear it rev up very quickly and maintain a high rate of rotation (as deduced by the audible pitch of the brush).
