This printer is actually my 2nd printer. I had a 3d printer a few years ago in roughly the same price point from monoprice and had a lot of trouble dialing it in, only getting a few successful prints and then storing it away. This printer has been a breeze in comparison, pretty much out of the box there is very little needed for setup. There was a 3d printed cover over a metal piece I had to remove which was not mentioned in any guide, after that just using the application provided on the sd card and leaving things on default I was able to print things straight from thingiverse, playing around with speed, supports, and rafts. You do quickly come into some limitations of this printer and I'll list them below. Cons: 1. Bed size: very small bed, often have to orient 3d objects in certain ways or shrink them in order to print. Still very useable but very quickly you'll design or come across something wide or long that won't fit. 2. Does not support PETG or ABS: This means you are limited to using PLA filament which is good for display things but not so much functional. PLA melts easily and has weak vertical bonds. I found this out quickly when I tried to make a glasses holder for the car and it went soft and melted in a day because it was printed in PLA. 3. The arm that holds filament is very short so you can only fit small spools of filament. On thingiverse you can find an extended arm you can print which is a workaround but I feel like it makes the filament come at an odd angle. It's easier to use small spools due to this limitation. Lastly I wish this had a preheat function, sometimes the first print comes out a little wonky. Despite these cons I still give this printer 5 stars because it is so easy to use, affordable, and fun and as long as you're aware of these limitations and you're looking for your first printer I think this is a great choice. ... show more

I bought this printer because I live in another country and I couldn't buy a heavy and big machine cause of the shipping weight. I decided for this one after watching some videos and reviews. I think it's a wonderful printer, I haven't had any issues so far. I printed a lot of things so far with and without rafts or brim, and with and without support, and the results are really amazing. I'm quite surprise give its little size. I only wish it had a bigger build plate. I hope someday the make the same one but a little bigger. I make 3d models, not like minis, mostly between 80mm and 100mm, and I made Ian from Onward, a really hard design to print, I used supports, and it printed really amazing! I was surprise the machine handled really nice, without any issues at all. I found the Cura settings somewhere, and even though Wiibuilder it's really easy to use, I'm more used to Cura, but it works perfectly with both. I contacted support for some questions, they were really helpful and answered me all my questions so far. I have another 3dPrinter that I bought in a Thrift Store, a FlashForge Adventurer 3, so far, I love more my Entina, really easy to use and very trustable. Only time can tell how would keep working, but so far, I really like this printer and is my favorite!! ... show more

I work in a Maker Space for a living teaching folks how to use 3d printers, and I run a small business making 3d printed jewelry and gaming accesories on the side. I wanted a small printer to take with me to comicons and run in my booth. I found this one because it was super cheap and had decent reviews. I was genuinely shocked by how great it works! out of the box it worked beautifully without a lot of tedious bed leveling or calibration. Comes with Cura which is a great slicer and a few really cute test prints. I did some test printing in my living room, and it sent my cat into mighty hunter mode. He creeped around trying to sneak up on it all night! I highly recommend this for folks who are just starting out and don't want to invest in a big printer, and will definetly be purchasing one for my outreach programs at work. ... show more

    • Great Entry Level or Small Footprint 3D Printer
The most ready to use out of the box 3D Printer I've looked at or used. Now granted, I do not have a super extensive background in 3D printing, but I am past beginner. I'd say I'm somewhat in the sweet of someone you'd want to be listening to a review about a 3D Printer like this. Firstly, there is always a level of savvy that is needed for tinkering with things, learning to prep, slice and hopefully even design 3D models for printing. So, while it does have the potential to be used by children, it will still take some knowhow, learning and supervision. It's not a Deskjet printer printing a Word document, so don't be unrealistic with your expectations. I've read some reviews on products that blame the product for the difficulties they have, when in reality it's all part of the hobby. That being said, I though my Ender 3 was simple to setup and start using. This thing makes that look complicated. So much so, that I'd be concerned about not getting a good feel of the difficulties that generally come with getting started in 3D printing. It took me a couple of minutes to get it out of the box, a couple of minutes to install the Cura software and then a couple of minutes to feed the filament and start printing a part. ... show more

    • Was working great first few weeks....
First few weeks had no issues at all. While the print size was small was really enjoying this printer. As a newbie the true plug and play aspect of it was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately this week starting having issues. While customer support has been fantastic. I am not a mechanical/electrical guy and replacing the parts is not at all easy for me. Right now, I basically have a product I can't use and $100 in filament. Maybe a higher quality machine wouldn't have had these issues so soon, I don't know. Update 10/9/2022 - changed my review from 3 to 5 stars because of how great the customer service is. They worked with me through all my issues and eventually just sent me a new machine. Their response time via Amazon contact was usually within 24-36 hours. One of the better customer experiences I've had in a while honestly. ... show more
