Great portable monitor, top notch customer service

This is a fantastic 1080p monitor that gives you options to power it using a single USB-C cable connected to your laptop to deliver power and data or use an additional USB-C cable through an outlet to solely deliver power. If you opt for the former, the monitor will be dimmer since the single USB-C cable is providing power and data, so your best experience is definitely going to be when you have the second USB-C cable to deliver power. The monitor itself is lightweight so it's quite easy to carry it around (recommend you use a case) and even fit in a backpack along with your laptop to take it with you on the go. The stand is built-in, so it gives you a quick and easy way to stand the monitor up for it to be used. With all this, the build quality on this is very good. For the monitor performance, the color and brightness representation is great for a portable monitor and text was mostly easy to read, with the exceptions of some Webex meetings that involved very tiny text which is just the nature of a 1080p monitor for which their 4k monitors would address. There is a myriad of settings you can play around with whether that's contrast, brightness, enabling other modes to get the monitor to display to your preference. Also, I want to call out the quick responsive customer service. I did have an intermittent issue that caused the screen to go black and flicker, so I reached out to them via email. They responded within a few hours, and I was able to work with them on some basic troubleshooting. After the basic troubleshooting didn't work out, they made it right very quickly by just offering to send me replacement and avoid all the remaining hoops of troubleshooting. I got the replacement in just a couple of days, and it's been working great for me since. The product is great and the customer service is top notch, and I would have no hesitation buying from this brand again as they stand behind their products.

Thin, sturdy, great value screen ideal for Work; Portable as a bonus!

Extremely THIN great value monitor with tiny bezels that look great next to my Macbook. Works just by plugging in. Can be used without a separate power supply , so it's convenient for travel or working from a cafe. At home I have it powered (charger & cables provided) to keep my laptop a little cooler. Image quality is good, especially considering the price, and brightness/colours are fine for coding, documents, web browsing and other non-design uses. Ideal for gaming with high refresh rate Kickstand is very sturdy and screen has rubber pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide. It doesn't take up much desk space but I plan to mount it (VESA compatible) on my monitor arm. I consider this as a great second screen to use for home/work, with the added option for it to be portable since it is so flat.

Really nice large portable display

I'm really impressed with this portable monitor. I'm building a portable retro gaming setup and was finding that most portable displays were smaller than I would like. This one seems like a "Goldilocks" size - not too big, not too small... just right. Picture: Color, brightness, clarity, and viewing angle are all really good. I did some testing with fast paced games and didn't notice any ghosting or lag. I ran it from a SteamDeck at 120hz and everything looked great. It also has a matte screen which, IMO, is a must for portable monitors (to minimize glare/reflections). I've included a few videos (ok... had to merge those together. Only one video allowed...) and want to note that they don't accurately represent how the display actually looks in person. The videos show a bit of color cast, glare, and washout, none of which are there when viewing in person. Inputs/Outputs: The display does power and video over usbc or power over usbc and video over HDMI. I tested video over USB-C from my iphone and it worked great. I also tested over USB-C from my laptop and it was able to provide video and power over one cable to the display. One-cable use like that depends on the device's capabilities; if it can provide enough power over USB-C, it'll work. If it can't (such as with my iPhone), then you need to provide power to the second usb-c port on the display. One great feature there is that the display also does passthrough power, which means that it also charges the phone when plugged in this way. Finally, HDMI is also provided for devices that don't do USB-C video. If you want to use an iphone that has a lightning port on it, then you should just need a lightning to HDMI adapter. Finally, it has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, which is missing from a lot of portable displays. Build: The display seems well built. It's thin and light but feels sturdy. The built in stand is nicely adjustable - For tabletop use it is very steady and can be adjusted anywhere from almost-up-and-down to flat. The stand holds its angle firmly and doesn't want to slip. It's also vesa compatible so you can adapt it to different stands, mounts, and accessories. Packaging: The packaging is sturdy and the display comes well protected. I appreciate that they didn't just use a bunch of foam to protect everything and instead used recyclable materials. Flaws: I can't really complain about anything. For the price, this is a great display. I had to do a little bit of color calibration and brightness/contrast adjustments for my iphone (there was a bit of a red cast and it was a bit washed out), but I didn't need to on the steam deck... so not really a downside, just a normal setup to get it looking its best. Another minor quibble is that the controls on the display can be a little hard to use, but I got used to them pretty quickly as well. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. Its an excellent display for the price and great for gaming.

UPERFECT Almost Perfect, However a Good Portable Monitor.

I like this monitor for having a normal HDMI and not just a HDMI mini, it's slim and very portable! Thing is it doesn't have a case, I didn't know I could get a free case until the company messaged me about how I like my product, they pointed me in the direction to get a free case by emailing the customer support email on the back of the instructions of the product and gave me a PDF version in the message for my convenience which was nice, after emailing the support email, I got a response quickly about how to get my free case, which is to provide an address, and in addition to the free case as a separate offer in the same email, to be in their VIP club to try out other products. I declined the second offer as I have too much stuff already that I don't want to add to the pile, and expressed that I am only interested in the free case. There was no response after that until about two days and I was told that they had a weekend that they came back from. It was a little misleading as the page the email was listed on said it was 24hrs, (picture in this review), immediately they said they sent the free case that will come within two days and apologized for not responding sooner because of their weekend, so that was nice. I gave this product 4 stars because of the little bit of a hassle to get the free case, if you're going to have a free case, just include it in the product box! The other monitor I had and returned from a different company had a free case included and I liked that, I returned the other monitor because it only had HDMI mini and it advertised that it had HDMI not specifying mini only! The monitor from UPERFECT, when I first turned it on had a brighter spot on it near the top right, but quickly paned out as I played my game. (It was probably cases by the monitor before shipping being stored in a position not natural for the screen to handle before turning it on). The sound is fair, it does have a headphone jack, I just let the sound come from the monitor's speakers when playing my game. Over all I feel it's a good purchase and great for a gaming personal space!

My Experience with this Portable Monitor: Big Screen, Smooth Performance, and Travel Trade-Offs

I work remotely but enjoy traveling to different destinations for extended periods. To stay productive, I need multiple screens. Over the years, I’ve tried several options: - A setup that attaches to the back of my laptop and flips out two extra screens on the sides—bulky and heavy on my laptop. Screen size limiting. - A 15.6” portable monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate that connects via USB-C, with a protective cover that doubles as a stand. This has been my favorite so far, but the screen size felt a bit small, so I started looking for another option. That’s when I found this 24” portable monitor with a 100Hz refresh rate—a significant jump in both size and performance. When it arrived, my first concern was how to carry it—no case included! However, after reaching out to customer support, they sent me a padded carry bag with a handle at no charge. Super nice! After taking it on my first trip, I found the large screen size to be fantastic for working. The display quality was excellent, and the 100Hz refresh rate made a noticeable difference in smoothness. I ended up using it as my primary screen instead of my laptop. It performed best when plugged into a direct power source rather than relying on USB-C or HDMI alone. However, due to its size, traveling with it can be a challenge. It’s too large to fit in my laptop backpack, so I had to bring it as a carry-on. With my carry-on suitcase and laptop bag, I exceeded the airline’s two-item limit. On this trip, I had a family member carry it for me. I was initially worried about it getting knocked around in the overhead bin, but the padded case did its job. That said, it doesn’t provide the same level of protection as my smaller monitor with its hard cover. I can’t see myself bringing this on short business trips, but for longer stays, the extra screen real estate and improved refresh rate make a big difference. Overall, I’m happy with it, and it meets my expectations.

UPERFECT, UR EXCELLENT

My first experience with UPERFECT has been tremendous! My primary use case was going to be as a gaming monitor for a Nintendo Switch 2. Unfortunately, the firmware of the initial batch of these monitors doesn’t seem to instruct the Switch 2 of all the possible resolutions and refresh rates via HDMI. The result is the resolution is locked at 480p. I contacted UPERFECT support about the issue and they were very upfront and honest about the issue (Thank you, Sophia!). They acknowledged that they had not updated the firmware on the first batch of these monitors resulting in the resolution issue via HDMI. They immediately offered to refund the full amount and said that I could keep the monitor. They are also going to inform me when the batch of updated monitors are available. They were also prepared enough to send me a link to the firmware update and instructions on how it’s performed. I haven’t been able to get the Windows based firmware flasher to work on my Mac, even from a Windows 11 virtual machine running in Parallels, but I realize there may be too many hardware discrepancies to make that happen. Since I have the monitor in hand anyway, I decided to test it for other uses. I set it up as an extended display on my Mac, which was incredibly easy. With a USB C connection, the monitor was immediately recognized and was capable of its highest resolution and refresh rate. This connection was made on my M1 MacBook Air, which doesn’t even display at 120Hz on the built in display, yet this monitor ran perfectly at that refresh rate with 4K resolution. It made it obvious that the built in display ran at a slower rate. The monitor is bright and the colors really stand out. I also tried it hooked up via HDMI on an Apple TV, which will force a resolution and refresh rate. Again, amazing 4K picture at 60Hz. To summarize: I’ve never been more impressed by a company’s honesty and willingness to make things right, and by a product that really didn’t work for my intended use. I can’t wait until I’m able to purchase this exact monitor with the updated firmware!

Greatly Improves Productivity

I have always found multiple monitors to increase my productivity when I'm at my desk. However, as an IT consultant I am often deployed to client sites for strategy meetings or proposal writing. My work involves spreadsheets, presentations, and lots of copying/merging of documents. So having a portable monitor (or two in my cases) on the road is enormously helpful. For a few years now, I have travelled with 2 15.6" monitors in addition to my laptop. I use two for my "working" spaces and the third I use in split-screen mode for my email and messaging applications so i don't miss important communications. While I do look like a total nerd, the setup never fails to impress my colleagues and clients. In fact, each time I visit a new client, someone gets so excited about my setup that they ask me where I got my screens and the price and by the end of the day they have ordered at least one. On the last trip, three people ordered screens (no joke). I have used a few different brands of monitors on the road. But last year I switched over to Uperfect. One is a 15.6" touchscreen model which is great for hands-on demonstrations. and the other is the standard 15.6" model. I really like them for a few reasons: 1) I hate when cables stick out of the sides. The inputs are recessed so they don't interfere with close arrangement of the monitors next to my laptop. 2) They are much thinner and lighter than other brands I have used and two fit easily along with my laptop in my backpack. Going through airport security is not that much of a hassle either. I grab all three with one hand. 3) The Uperfect customer service is unbelievable. I just ordered a 18.5" model when the stock was low and they reached out to me immediately to let me know there might be a delay while they restock. I had a few exchanges with them through Amazon and online and they responded very quickly. They apologized for the inconvenience and then it still arrived on time! Now I have connected the monitor to my home office as an additional monitor below my two main widescreen monitors. It is replacing my glossy 15.6" screen. The brightness is great, the text is sharp, and the matte finish is ideal for my workspace since I sit next to a bright window so no glare. I have decided that it works so well for me that I'm going to purchase another for the road. In short, this monitor is great and so is the seller. I highly recommend buying this monitor especially if you travel. It is totally worth it. Thank you Uperfect for your great customer support and your great monitor. Great Portable Monitor for Travel

NOTE: This is a review for the "UPERFECT Portable Monitor 18.5 inch 100HZ". Many reviews on this product page reference other UPERFECT portable monitors and as such don't align with the features of this monitor. For starters, this monitor does not come with a fold-over tablet-style cover that converts to a stand. Instead, it has an integrated kickstand, which is higher quality (more on that below). As such, this 18.5 monitor does not come with a cover at all. If you plan to take it in a suitcase, you'll probably want to get something to wrap around it. I bring this up, simply because the description of this product does not say it has a cover but many questions/answers and reviews from Amazon contributors say that it does. This, again, is because many reviews and Q&A on this page reference different monitors that do have that cover. I'm reviewing the product as-described by UPERFECT... I'm not docking it for not having a cover, because they don't advertise it as such. Cover - Is the lack of a cover for this 18.5 a big deal? For me, I do need a cover. However, this is such a great monitor at a reasonable price that having to find a way to protect it in-transit is a minor and acceptable trade-off. 18.5 - Wow. This is a game-changer for me. I used to use a similar (different brand) 15.6 portable monitor. That's been great when I am traveling for work, because I have the type of job where it's a major drag to try to get anything done on a single laptop screen. The extra space on this monitor makes doing work from a desk in a hotel that much better. Brightness - My old (other brand) 15.6 was fairly dim. White pages looked pretty yellow. I made that work and it was fine. But this 18.5 monitor can go very bright, honestly, I think it's brighter than my laptop screen. Kickstand - The integrated kickstand on the 18.5 is vastly superior to the convertible cover-stand concept in most other portable monitors. The kickstand is solid and provides a wide range of angle setups. This is a big improvement over the tablet-style convertible cover/stand, which only provides one fixed angle. VESA Mounting - This is a nice feature, allowing this 18.5 monitor to be used in a home office as a third monitor, including vertically, and then easily taken down for travel when needed. This effectively expands the uses for this monitor. Ports - I also note that the USB-C and Mini HDMI ports are on the left side of this 18.5 monitor. Many others have them on the right. I always use my travel monitor on the right side of my laptop (to preserve my laptop screen as the 'home' with the portable monitor extending to the right). To me, this is the logical and natural configuration. Having the ports on the left of the portable monitor is much better. Extended/Duplicated Displays - Using Windows 10, my other (different brand) 15.6 potable monitor is unable to be duplicated to an external display. However, this 18.5 portable does that perfectly. In preparation for this review, I did a test to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Explanation: When I'm on the road, sometimes I need to connect to a larger projector or TV in a conference room via HDMI. In this setup, I have my laptop connected to the portable monitor and the TV or projector connected via HDMI. What I want and expect is to be able to setup my display settings so that my portable monitor in front of me on the table is duplicated onto the TV/projector that everyone in the room can see. This 18.5 monitor can support that setup. My other (different brand) monitor could not. I'm sure most can, but this one for-sure can. Bottom line: I'm very pleased with this UPERFECT Portable Monitor 18.5 inch 100HZ.
