As far as the canopy itself, it is of good design and is accurately reflected in the product images. The material is of a very fine, lightweight mesh and the lace and ring on top is a nice feature without any issues. The color represented is very accurate, this one being the purple. Once removed from the packaging (vacuum sealed bag), if fluffs up nice and expands as it should. It is nearly wrinkle free and hangs very nicely straight out of the bag. It is hung by the top relatively easily from a hook, which is supplied in the kit. The hook will need to be installed in the ceiling, which will require a hole to be drilled. The instructions and "how to's" are relatively good, enabling the end user to make sense and complete the install without too many issues. The whole thing is very lightweight and easily manageable by one person. Now for the nightmare... To get the lights on this canopy will test every last little bit of patience you have. Yes, the lights are supplied in the kit and will require 3 AA batteries to work. The box for the batteries is nice and the included remote works well. The remote and box, have options for various colors and patterns to be displayed. Now, to get there, you have to be patient, have a bit of luck on your side, and probably another person to help untangle the wadded mess of light string! The micro led light string, which you must install or "configure" yourself is supplied to you rolled up in a tight ball. It is one solid light string, not a few strands (or sections) as shown in the photos. So, untangling this light string, stretching it out, uncurling it without breaking it, running it over the canopy and getting it fixed in place is a chore (and a half)! A second person to assist in this process will certainly alleviate some of the burden for sure... Disappointingly, after going through the trauma in getting the light strung, we find they are entirely too short to reach the ends of the mesh curtains as shown. Not nearly enough length in the lights to match the length required to reach the end of the canopy. All you have the option to do, is run the micro wire down and back up a section of the canopy - not the length from top to bottom. We found the light string just long enough to reach about halfway down the curtains only. So, great on the canopy but complete failure on the light string. It is cute, it is romantic and playful and for the most part well described in the details. I have no complaints with the canopy itself, and if that's all you need, this is a great item. If however, the lights are a primary interest in this canopy, you may be disappointed.

Instructions sorta vague. Setting up the pixy LED lights a nightmare. Instructions just show arrows but no help on how to attach or route LEDs.

I ordered the Unicorn Castle Double Layer Three Door Princess Bed Canopy for my daughter's room. The pink and white bed canopy is made of polyester tulle, featuring a three "door" design that allows access from the front or sides of the bed. The canopy has a double-layer mesh construction, with a heart and flower lace detail around the top, adding a beautiful finishing detail to the canopy. Included with the bed canopy is a set of battery operated fairy lights. The LED lights come with a remote control, have a timer function, and eight adjustable "motion" modes. The timer feature can be set to turn off automatically after 4, 6, or 8 hours, making them a great night light. That said, the fairy lights are comprised of a battery pack with a long single strand of LEDs on a thin uncovered piece of wire. Additionally, there is no pocket or strap in which to securely place the battery pack and nothing to hold the lights in place after you spend half a day trying to carefully untangle them so you don't break the thin wire. Additionally, the wire is not long enough to span the full length of the fabric panels, so it takes quite a bit of time to figure how you want to space them. Let me save you a lot of time and headache. Set these battery operated lights aside for something else. Buy a set of motion lights, with white or clear wires that have a wall plug and a nice long lead wire from the plug to the lights, (there are several here on Amazon). This will save you a lot of money on batteries and you won't have to worry about the lights getting broken the first time they do something crazy in their bedroom, like a pillow fight, which is what broke ours. PRO TIP - get some paper clips, oranment hangers, or safety pens, and use these to attach the lights to the ring at the top of the canopy. You can bend the paper clips/ornament hangers as you need and they will go through the holes in the tulle, as will the safety pens. Also included with the set is two mounting options for hanging the canopy to the ceiling and instructions with color pictures. Set up of the canopy was easy and once I purchased a new light set, and figured out how to install them, the light installation was easy too. The price point for what you receive is very reasonable, so having to purchase additional lights did not bother me, especially knowing it was going to keep me from having to purchase and install batteries all the time. Overall, the Unicorn Castle Double Layer Three Door Princess Bed Canopy is extremely adorable. The ring at the top of the canopy and the heart/flower lace around it is a really nice added detail, in addition to the two sets of hanging hardware. The included lights are not the best, but at this low price point, there are really a bonus, anyway. This princess-style canopy would work great for a bed or a reading nook, and is nice enough for princesses of all ages. Five stars.

My kiddo absolutely loves her princess canopy! It even works perfectly in her room with a ceiling fan, and the layered design gives full coverage over her twin daybed. The included lights add such a magical touch—so pretty and cozy!

I purchased this because I’ve always wanted a canopy above the bed. This one is super cute and easy to put together. It gives you a few options: you can use a nail to hang it or a sticky hook on the ceiling. I ended up slapping my sticky hook on the ceiling since it was easier that way, and it has yet to fall or cause me any trouble. You receive LED lights but I opted out of place mine and placed them around my room instead. They aren’t very bright to be honest, and they went out after a few weeks of use. However, other than that, I enjoy mine and the subtle privacy it gives. Whether you’re an adult or a child or a teenager, it’s cute for anyone. 😇
