I was very nervous ordering this desk from Amazon. The price was very low, and I've had my fair share of poor quality items show up on my front door step when I was trying to save a few bucks. I recently transitioned to a work from home job, and quickly realized that I needed a better home office solution than my trash picked desk and kitchen chair. I wanted a desk that had the ability to go up and down, and I wanted a nice office chair that wouldn't hurt my back. I was approved for $500 through my work to redo my at home office, and ended up blowing most of it on an office chair. So my budget was low... So what makes this desk worthy of 5 stars? The mechanical gear that raise and lowers the desk is very smooth and capable of slight adjustments. The turn crank is also not difficult at all to crank. I opted for the mechanical turn crank for cost saving reasons as well as hoping it would be easier to replace when/ if it failed. I used to have an electric one in the office, and I'm perfectly happy with my decision to go with the mechanical crank. I don't think I'm missing out on anything. The material for the desk top was perfectly fine. It looks very nice, and doesn't feel flimsy. I'm honestly pleasantly surprised by the build quality for the base of the desk. It is very sturdy feeling and holds up the desk well. There are even adjustments on the bottom of the desk that allow for leveling the desk. The wireless charger was not something I expected nor needed, but it works very nicely! What a nice added bonus. Assembling it took about an hour and a half. So be sure you're ready/ able / interested in taking that time to piece it together. I will say that if it had just been me trying to get the unassembled desk from the front porch to my office, I woulda been a bit stuck. The box was heavyyyy. Overall, if you're looking for an inexpensive sit/ stand desk, and can't buy used for whatever reason, I highly recommend this one!

When I was looking into buying a desk for my new WFH job, I had a few specific needs. I had worked from home before, but also had issues with the desks I had owned. First, as I am very limited on space I needed it to double as both a desk and side table. Second, it could not be very large but still needed to be “large enough” to endure working at it all day (plus needed to fit a dual monitor set up). In addition, as someone with back pain on the daily due to scoliosis I needed something that I could stand or sit at (I frequently adjust my position based on discomfort). Last but not least, I wanted this to be relatively budget friendly as I had a whole office setup to pay for! After scrolling through NUMEROUS desk options I decided against an automatic sit/stand model based on the number of people who seemed to report motor issues on pretty much every desk of that type. I wanted this to stand the test of time! After much searching, I landed on this desk over a year ago and have loved it ever since! It so far has been really durable over the year+ that I’ve had it, and not one issue with the manual level to raise and lower the desk. It was relatively simple to set up, and I also like the extra bonus of the included USB plug since I prefer a more minimal look. All in all, if you are looking for a great, solid desk option I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with your purchase of this desk! Update 1/11/2024: This desk is still going strong! The only con I’ve found so far is that I don’t love the placement of the USB on top. This is probably really specific to my circumstances since I also use this desk as a side table next to my bed - but love that there is a USB in general! This has gone down in price since I bought it, and you really can’t go wrong. If you’re thinking about it, get this desk!

I was a bit hesitant to place the order as there was no review on this crank desk, probably because it's a new product. I took a leap of faith as other Unicoo desks seemed to enjoy good reviews and I hoped their have a consistent quality control across product lines. I was not disappointed. The steel frame was steady and well designed as all pieces fit well and no sharp corners. The paint/coating on the frame was industrial grade - very consistent and I didn't see any scratches. The table top was smooth and I liked the rounded corners. It took me 20 minutes to assemble. After the table stands up, I tried the cranking mechanism and it felt smooth and consistent. As my picture has shown, it's not a full-size desk but a great workstation-size that have enough space for a 15-inch laptop, a 27 inch monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. For the price, this desk is a superb value!

The desk was delivered on time and undamaged. All the parts were there. I put the frame together myself in about 15 minutes, but when I tried to attach the desktop to the frame, the screw holes did not line up. I emailed the support address and asked if they might have sent me the wrong-sized crossbar. They asked for pictures, which I sent, and they explained that I had put the horizontal crossbar on incorrectly. When you put this desk frame together, do not slide the horizontal crossbar onto the metal arms in sides A and B where the screw holes are. Instead, flip the horizontal crossbar over so that the 3 screw holes line up against each other and put the screws in through the opening in the horizontal bar. Once I had the desk put together correctly, all went well. It is sturdy and holds my 2 monitors on a set of swing arms with room for my laptop, keyboard, mouse pad etc. I have ordered a separate sliding keyboard holder to fit below the desk so I can move my keyboard down lower. It takes me 30 cranks to raise the desk up to standing height (I am 5'6.5"). I am happy with this purchase.

This basic desk worked very well as the base for a new sewing table. The legs are heavy and sturdy enough to not wobble, even at full height. We were able to replace the top with our own larger one very easily.
